I think a prime Roberto Duran would beat Mayweather.
Please let the "prime" word die soon. One of the most overused terms in boxing

Since this is phantasy fight shit, yes, I could see JCC Sr. beating Floyd.

      7 out of 10, I'm taking Mayweather.

Mayweather beats him comfortably on points.

Is it not a legitimate question? You're sounding like you think this is some kind of hate thread, but if you look at the tone of the replies that ain't what it is at all. You may not agree with everyone, but if so, why not just say so and expound your reasons?

And to answer your question, yes Floyd is (or was) that good. Chavez Sr is regarded as an ATG and by many as the best Mexican fighter ever so it's hardly insulting to Floyd to compare them

Good shut down and completely true.

In terms of the thread, I see both guys having success but I think Floyd's ability to defend when standing still is the key here, those little breaks he can take and make a fighter miss and graze is the difference. I also see Chavez's dimensions compared to Floyd's being an issue and significant advantage for Mayweather.

If Floyd has an off-night this fight could get might close though, Chavez had the chin, ability, and snap in his punching to take advantage of any lapse in concentration on Floyd's part.

Floyd by decision. Chavez was notorious for giving away the first 4 rounds. And you can't beat Floyd after spotting him the first 4 rounds.

Did you not read my post????? I said everything I wanted to say. To keep comparing him to older fighters
is pointless and ******. If it was a hate thread I would simply say it. Don't put words in my mouth
