You said he won the WBA before the IBO. He didn't, he was given A WBA title, but not the one that mattered, Sturm had that. Some people choose not to recognise a secondary title, they believe there can't be 2 world champs for the same org. I agree.

Based upon pure boxing ability B-Hop is the better guy. I also don't know if GGG holds up as well at 40. He is too willing to take punches to put on a Big Drama Show and has never been swift of foot. As he ages, I think younger and faster middleweights are going to be able to handle him. B-Hop had the craft and the dirty tactics to get into these young guys heads.
Faster is the key word. Golovkin is slow. I remember after Tim Bradley saw GGG fight in person for the first time he said he couldn't believe how slow he was. Hopkins wasn't particular fast either but he had so many other tricks (legal & illegal) to make up for it.

There is no proof there is a $15M offer to even strike down as false. At best there are rumors of a 8 digit offer.

        • I see that anti-GGG gang having a hissy fit from the mere thought that GGG can unify all belts. Then Canelo will have nowhere to hide... And this makes them maaaaaad. I love it )))

          • Unifying the entire division is criminal? What a ****** article.

For instance, I wish Floyd didn't waste anytime with Carlos Baldomir. Based upon his last performance I can see how that argument would work against a Saunders fight. But in the context of what GGG wants to do it makes sense. Because once again, as long as one of the major belts is hanging from someone else's waste all the big names at middleweight or who are going to move up from junior middleweight will have a much easier target for a belt than GGG. But once he gets the belt from BJS all these guys (the Charlo brothers, Canelo, Jacobs, Lara, Lee etc.) all have to come to GGG for a belt. The belt adds to his legacy but also acts as enormous leverage.
Oh, believe me - they understand it quite well. And this is a scenario they HATE. Which is why there is a frenzy here - they try to put down BJS as not worthy and create "public opinion" that GGG should not unify. But thinking person sees through this.

You still don't get it bro. The belts aren't gonna force guys to fight GGG. The only thing that's gonna "force" guys to fight GGG is more money. If GGG can guarantee a good enough financial reward for the risk he poses, guess will fight him.

                • Unifying the belts at this time is more important than remacthing bum Jacobs, anybody who argues against this is a total moron. Once ggg has the belts every fighter will have no choice but to go after ggg, really don't understand why the idiots on this site are having a hard time understanding this.

                    Fighters want to get paid

Take that risk **** home somewhere.

If GGG had 3 KO's..... guys will STILL reject lowball offers to fight him.

Being stripped of the WBA title wasn't enough to make Felix Sturm fight him. Being stripped of the WBC title wasn't enough to make Canelo fight him. Until they met his financial demands. Being stripped of the WBA "regular" title wasn't enough to make Jacobs fight him. And the fight was only made after his financial demands were made. So exactly how are the belts forcing anybody to fight him?
