Besides, if Stevens was quality, it wouldn't matter anyway. Make a statement. It's not like Lemieux has the greatest stamina in the first place. Failure to attack the body effectively isn't anyone's fault but Stevens.
The dude couldn't even ensure that the mouthpiece was brought to the ring - that incident alone told me he was getting sparked. He just didn't show up last night, period.

See any word in the definition that was used in your post?
Hint: I bolded it in your quote.
Like I said I don't deny its several bad things, but I personally couldn't call it cheating.
I mean Stevens was cool with it to the point of not asking for more money or even a threat of calling off the fight until some middle ground could be reached with a new agreement for a new 2nd weigh in requirement or anything.
Stevens just accepted the fight with the knowledge that Lemeiux didn't have to make the 2nd weigh in. Stevens accepted the new rules basically. So even if he was of the understanding that there would be a 2nd weigh in upon the knowledge of it not taking place for Lemieux he didn't see it as cheating to call off the fight or even come to new terms as a fix or get a money settlement for being okay with this alleged "cheating".

... and, yes, Stevens should have taken his mouthpiece in his own glove from the locker room... (like the bucket, the sponge and the water, as well)...
