Stevens is following the rehydration clause while fatty Lemieux doesn't have a worry in the world.

Lemieux has had problems making weight before. No drug testing for this fight. Lemieux is allowed to cheat and there's no penalty. He wasn't fined or had to compensate Stevens.

One guy followed the rehydration rule. The other guy didn't. Lemieux deserves no credit for this win.
quit crying...lemieux made the contracted weight ...that belt is a joke...its not called cheating when you are better than your opponent

Keith Idec writing the article about it, be like... ''It was fun writing that article! Hopefully Stevens is fine.''

David Lemieux made weight without issue Friday afternoon for his fight Saturday night against Curtis Stevens. We’ll never know, however, if Lemieux would’ve met the IBF’s second-day weigh-in obligation. Lemieux missed the IBF’s second-day weigh-in entirely Saturday morning in Verona, New York. Handlers for Lemieux (36-3, 32 KOs), who has held the IBF middleweight title, told Stevens’ handlers that they didn’t know about the second-day weigh-in for their 12-round middleweight match. In accordance with IBF rules, fighters cannot weigh more than 10 pounds over their division’s limit at weigh-ins conducted the morning after an official weigh-in.

he should have pumped himself full of iv fluid in order to gain mass after a weigh in. that kind of stuff is legit if you can get an exemption.

If he would've informed Stevens after the weigh and Stevens still decided to follow the rehydration rule then it's cool. But he didn't.

It is Nitpicking. Boxing uses Malapropisms all the time, so nothing to be ashamed of.

                Stevens

What's the matter with Steven's Mom? After the GGG loss, she should have seen that something was missing in Steven's arsenal and ability? Now, the poor guy certainly had a concussion with the Lemieux debacle, and she just asks: "Are you OK?" Stop the idiot from fighting anymore, Mom! Threaten to disown him if he continues! His Brain was rattled extremely hard this time, so sc****-up whatever cash he has and buy an Apartment complex or two, and save this guy's life!!!

Stevens assumed Lemeiux would abide by that rule, but Lemeiux isn't cheating if he didn't. He just doesn't win the title if he doesn't. And he didn't win the title.

Well yea, but "cheating"? Not doing the 2nd weigh isn't cheating by any stretch of a rational persons mind.

I mean unless it was required by the commission sanctioning the fight. And if its a rule by them then its not even going to be cheating at that point cuz they would just call off the fight I'd imagine.

At worst this is a slick lil trick by Lemeiux to get a weight advantage which is bad etiquette, bad karma &/or unprofessional, but lol at cheating.
