    Yeah, technically it is cheating.

But both guys made weight at the weigh-in that counted most.

And Lemeiux rehydrating had nothing to do with Stevens's pisspoor D and technique.

He had one job, take a guy who might have weight issues into the latter part of the fight.

That means you make the guy expend energy in the middle of the ring.

You don't get trapped on the ropes, let him tee off and drop your right hand while you throw an off balance hook with nothing on it.

He's the former IBF champ. He most certainly knew about it
I understand now... It's crystal clear that Lemieux cheated...

Well yea, but "cheating"? Not doing the 2nd weigh isn't cheating by any stretch of a rational persons mind.

I mean unless it was required by the commission sanctioning the fight. And if its a rule by them then its not even going to be cheating at that point cuz they would just call off the fight I'd imagine.

At worst this is a slick lil trick by Lemeiux to get a weight advantage which is bad etiquette, bad karma &/or unprofessional, but lol at cheating.
It is cheating when you don't abide by the rules you agree to when the fight was signed and when you don't inform the other party. And they had this lame exist excuse

The former IBF champ didn't know about the rule? Then they told Rafael Lemieux never intended to fight for that title. Would've been nice to tell Stevens

            Here you go bro.
            cheat
            CHēt/Submit
            verb
            gerund or present participle: cheating
            1.
act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination.
See any word in the definition that was used in your post?

Hint: I bolded it in your quote.

Lemieux being able to handle Stevens shots more is an advantage

He gets Full Credit....BUT IT WAS STEVENS lol

Both are Average Journymen with Good Power but in big match ups NEITHER can win the Big One. So you match them up with each other and somebody has to win and somebody has to lose and last night it just so happen to be Lemieux by brutal KO

Now we will get Canelo vs Lemieux in September instead of Canelo vs GGG, of course if he beats Chavez Jr, we seen how size can play a serious role when used Correction because Lemieux looked like a Flabby Light Heavy last night. His Defense is still **** though and landing Jabs on him is still very easy so Canelo would have a EASY TIME with Lemieux IMO

I think its a fair assumption he knew about the 2nd weigh in making this bad etiquette, bad karma &/or unprofessional like I said, but I do see an argument to be made that this wasn't a legit IBF world title...it was some lil regional or minor IBF belt so I could see Lemeiux thinking the requirements weren't the same. Idk that I buy it, but I believe its a reasonable argument one could make cuz boxing is one huge clusterf#ck with a lot of things in particular alphabet related things.

TLDR, its still not cheating if he knew or not.
