HBO spends a **** ton of money on Game Of Thrones. It's filmed like a big budget film, and it's probably their most successful show they have ever out on.

Rigo falls into the other category. Does that make him a star? Lomachenko ratings & ticket sales are comparable to Rigo's.

The only metric you're using to determine who is a star and who isn't is your personal feelings

Lomachenkos ratings triple rigos fym hbo has been promoting him heavy and hes a two division champion in just 3 years of being pro who else has done that? NO ONE

, Valdez is headlining a ppv? From hbo?? From showtime?? he's not stop reaching, you don't like non American fighters doesn't mean they're not stars

who's a star to you? I can ask 5 casuals on any street and they will all name hbo fighters other than Floyd, not saying showtime doesn't have any but you're fooling yourself if you think hbo isn't loaded with talent and stars.

I see no info on HBO Sports budget for 2017, one article Nelson wouldn't disclose it. Another link, the 4th link in google, brings me to this thread.

With that said would anyone actually be surprised at such a low budget? They're putting any decent fight on PPV when they don't even belong. Crawford-Postol, GGG-Jacobs, Cotto vs Kirkland (I think this one is off) these aren't PPV fights. Canelo vs Chavez Jr can get away with being PPV because of their fanbase, nothing else, but ultimately that's not exactly a PPV fight either.

Once again, no measurable metrics, only feelings.

Going by ratings & ticket sales Thurman, Porter, Garcia, & Broner are bigger stars than Lomachenko, Usyk, Ward, & Kovalev. What metrics are you going to use to prove otherwise?

I wish HBO just got out of boxing for good. All they do is block fights from happening

Lmao Thurman and porter bruh If loma fought on free tv it would double those ratings, free tv is not a measure label Spence holds the record right now and while he is a star in his own right he's not a name casuals know. Ggg ratings for the wade fight were better than anyone you named with their numbers on showtime in comparison, and like I said ppv is the BIG BOY STAGE.

Broner isn't even a champion but to you that's a star lmaoo like i said showtimes roster is not on hbos level.

Spence was a one off because of the Olympics lead in, that's why I didn't name him. Lomachenko had the Ward-Kovalev lead in and lost viewers.

Broner isn't a champ but he gets higher ratings & better attendance than Lomachenko, Kovalev, & Usyk.

Where in cinci? Lmao pretty sure a whole continent is tuned in when loma kov or usyk fights , your metrics are pure I'm American and I only watch pbc cause I don't have Hbo.

Broner is marketable but so is Jeremy Lin and Tim tebow, it does not make them stars You actually have to be elite at your craft for that

Other than Crawford, those fights are way to expensive not to be ppv, even in the best of times.

Chavez Jr. vs Alvarez is great HBO branding for 2017. Sure they are probably a network whose marketing team in this era can only focus on foreign fighters and exploit the minority....

I'll let PBC and Showtime focus on the All Americanism. When I hear Bernstein talk about boxing the dude sounds humble to like all fighters imo. Perhaps the last great original commentators in boxing. Keeps analytics real. Bernstein represents real American broadcasting.

We need Wilder vs Joshua or Wilder vs Fury. These are the fights that would push 8million on primetime. The blue collar American man is more attracted to Heavyweights than Welterweights
Not everyone. Dont get me wrong, I would like to see DW vs any top HW, but I prefer The AVERAGE lower weight class Bout to The Average HW Bout. Simply More Action at lower weights. That Said, I like all weights. Straw, fly, bantam, HW, or anything in between.
