actions speak louder than words.
"mikey is the next PPV star" = promoter hyperbole to talk up their fighter. empty rhetoric.
but schaefer's actions show us that he's helped convince swiss bankers to pour hundreds of millions of dollars into keeping boxing off of PPV.
PPV is dying. it's an antiquated model. HBO is squeezing every penny out of it that they can before exiting the boxing business, but schaefer, like haymon, is trying to makre sure boxing has a post-PPV future.Comment

still no sources from ts lol
But HBO has certainly been spending less over the years, the problem is, they were the primary force behind over pricing their fighters. They paid millions to the likes of RJJ, Mayweather, Judah and more recently Ward, to fight crap opponents on over priced shows and that whole faux economy of theirs has come crashing down around them.Comment

Boxing has been dying overall doe. Espinoza has already hinted that Thurman/Garcia type fights are unsustainable. Would be nice to see them become the norm from a fan perspective. But it's a la la land you've been spouting here. Look at the massive inactivity going on right now. One fight a year fighters are becoming common. Fans are basically getting crumbs and there are no new stars popping up.actions speak louder than words.
