If the fight does 70 mil from PPV, HBO takes 10%- 7mil. Which leaves 63 mil, from that 63 mil the cable companies take half. Leaving 31.5 mil, add in another 30 million from the gate, closed circuit and merchandise and sponsors. than that would be 61.5 mil to split. GB would pay GGG 10 mil leaving 51.5 mil to split up between Canelo and the other fighters on the card and probably leaving GB 25 mil to recover the money they spent on the promotion and the profits after everything is payed out. Which they would probably pay Canelo and GGG a lil PPV upside if it hits a certain number. So I still dont get how Canelo is making 90 million to GGGs 10 mil?

I read your previous post and quoted it. You said the fight is estimated to do a million PPV. Estimated by who? Using what methodology?Comment

Here comes another Chollo Vista spaz attack. What Danny Jacobs stuff?
You don't have purview to not one detail regarding the negotiations. Not one spec, clause or financial detail. Absolutely nothing.
For all we know, MSG vs Barclay's could be the hold up. Or maybe Golovkin wants all the rights to the PPV, who knows?
Maybe Tom pushed requested to delay the purse bid because he knows that wants the negotiation details were made public, he and his team would be toast.
But what you're trying to do right now, is if the fight isn't made, place the blame on Daniel Jacobs regardless of who's at fault. That's piss poor thinking.
Tom Loeffler is on record saying that there's $$$ in this fight. I don't care what some guy named Eastcoast tends to think.
If GGG is a PPV star, sells out stadiums and is 2% what his fan base makes him out to be, then he can at least get 300k PPV's against Jacobs and get him his money.
We'll no more wants the fight is made or not made and once negotiation details comes out. But for you to automatically blame Daniel Jacobs for being at fault without having no purview to the negotiation details is asinine.
Remember your feelings right now for next week when the purse bid happens and Danny says he's going to vacate b/c he feels he deserves more. That'll be some good irony - Danny gave that interview this summer saying he deserves to be more famous, and yet he'll be passing up his chance to actually earn it.
And people like you will defend him saying ~$2mill is unfair for him to accept, b/c he had cancer and he has a family to feed, and b/c he's the face of Brooklyn Boxing (in Reading, PA).
It's long past time for Danny Jacobs to put up or shut up.Comment

K2/GGG are like the crazy chick we all know who can't keep a man. Every few months she gets dumped by a new guy after all kinds of drama. Each time she says it was all his fault and trashes him. Year after year same cycle. After a while it stops being about all these guys being jerks and you have to look at the broad and say what the f is wrong with you! You the common denominator here. Fans been asking GGG to take bigger and better fights for 5 years now. K2 what F is wrong with you! Stop accusing every other fighter of ducking you. You just have a shyt bag promoter who can't make big fights.

Who cares if the if the fight generates 100 mil. The fighters dont get to keep all that. HBO and the cable providers take at least 60% of the PPV revenue. GB has to recover their money from running the promotion, pay all the fighters and other expenses. Which would leave GB paying Canelo around 20 mil plus and GGG 10 mil plus.Doesn't matter. Is he in the fight that can generate 100 million dollars? yes or no? yes. So, does he deserve only 10? well, it's up to you. It's not like canelo has many options to reach 1 million. Mayweather had many options that's why he only payed Maidana a few millions.Comment

Or do what EVERY other B-Sider did before them. Bend over, take what's offered, fight on PPV in front of MILLIONS of ppl, BEAT the A-Sider, and become the A-Side. OR watch someone else takes your spot and regret that decision for the rest of your life.... Tick Tock Mr. 35 year older tick tockThat's why I'm talking about Golovkin deserving less then 10 millions guaranteed, but a % split of the PPV.
So in that case, if it's truth that the fight will only sell 500-600k, he gets some type of money, and if the fight sells one million as some estimate, then he makes more. I said 7 millions guaranteed and 35% of the PPV. Even better, just give the man 3 millions guaranteed and 35% of the PPV, I'm sure it will end up being more than 10 millions.
That's what I'm saying, read my previous posts ******.
Yes, he can fight Chavez jr. But will he agree to 164 or 168? I don't think he wants to be there with a man that is bigger than him by that much difference.Comment

I don't know what the number are and neither do you. However, I do know that Tom Loeffler feels Jacobs deserves more than Lemieux and that Jacobs vs GGG is a bigger fight than GGG vs DL. I know that for a fact. Here comes another Chollo Vista spaz attack.

Regarding why Jacobs isn't a bigger star, IDK, you tell me? He has a similar KO ratio to Golovkin, well spoken, great story, etc. I don't know why he isn't getting the love Golovkin gets. They both get KO's. Maybe there's some underlying reason; who knows.
Anyway, here's Loeffler explaining how he feels about the GGG vs Jacobs matchup

The networks take 50% right off the bat. DAN Rafeal says that all the time so does most other boxing experts. Plenty of good articles out there on how PPV $$$ is split up.Comment
