It's my belief too... it will sell like that. Every Canelo fan will buy the fight. Every Golovkin fan will buy the fight. Many hardcore fans will buy the fight and casuals too.

Kind of hard to demand more than $10,000,000 when U don't even think you'll clear $7 million TOTAL for a major fight with Jacobs.

If he's a star, he can do 300k numbers or better against Jacobs. If he can't, then he doesn't deserve what he's asking against Canelo. Plain and simple.

The networks take 50% right off the bat. DAN Rafeal says that all the time so does most other boxing experts. Plenty of good articles out there on how PPV $$$ is split up.

Just give Golovkin a few millions guaranteed and 35% of the PPV split between fighters, and problem solved.

Doesn't matter. Is he in the fight that can generate 100 million dollars? yes or no? yes. So, does he deserve only 10? well, it's up to you. It's not like canelo has many options to reach 1 million. Mayweather had many options that's why he only payed Maidana a few millions.

You don't have purview to not one detail regarding the negotiations. Not one spec, clause or financial detail. Absolutely nothing.

For all we know, MSG vs Barclay's could be the hold up. Or maybe Golovkin wants all the rights to the PPV, who knows?

Maybe Tom pushed to delay the purse bid because he knows that once the negotiation details were made public, he and his team would be toast.

But what you're trying to do right now, is if the fight isn't made, place the blame on Daniel Jacobs regardless of who's at fault. That's piss poor thinking.

Tom Loeffler is on record saying that there's $$$ in this fight. I don't care what some guy named Eastcoast tends to think.

If GGG is a PPV star, sells out stadiums and is 2% what his fan base makes him out to be, then he can at least get 300k PPV's against Jacobs and get him his money.

We'll know more wants the fight is made or not made and once negotiation details comes out. But for you to automatically blame Daniel Jacobs for being at fault without having no purview to the negotiation details is asinine.

This is a very fair post. IMO its probably Jacobs using the purse bid as his last chip but you are correct that we do not know.

No, ******. Don't you read? 35% of the fighters split I said.

Fighters split = what's left after HBO took their %.

If the fight does 70 mil from PPV, HBO takes 10%- 7mil. Which leaves 63 mil, from that 63 mil the cable companies take half. Leaving 31.5 mil, add in another 30 million from the gate,closed circuit and merchandise and sponsors. than that would be 61.5 mil to split. GB would pay GGG 10 mil leaving 51.5 mil to split up between Canelo and the other fighters on the card and probably leaving GB 25 mil to recover the money they spent on the promotion and the profits after everything is payed out. Which they would probably pay Canelo and GGG a lil PPV upside if it hits a certain number. So I still dont get how Canelo is making 90 million to GGGs 10 mil?
