What people have to remember is Ward has fought much less than Kovalev of late so in reality Ward can only get better from here having faced top competition for the first time in several years. He's likely to be much sharper in the rematch and having seen what Kovalev has in his tool box there's not gonna be any surprises next time. Personally i think the next fight will be the same as the last seven rounds but more decisive for Andre.

Ward didn't do enough to deserve a rematch. He can ask for one and if it suits Kovalev, why not, but nothing Ward did made it all that competitive.

No matter who you think won, it was Ward who figured Kov out, not the other way around. The momentum clearly shifted and the rounds won by each guy early and later showed this. I'm going with Ward on this basis.

Ward i honestly think you have more adjustments to make then Kovalev..good win but you have to be a lot better in the rematch

That's what he just said. He makes adjustments where as Kovalev cannot. Therefore, he is saying that we can expect to see a lot more improvements and a much better performance from him in their rematch as opposed to this bout.
