How much does and has Golovkin made from the Monroe's and Wade's of his resume? That's right, millions.

And What the hell would HBO have to do with Ward winning a decision?

I mean, they let Ward have three fights
They let Ward have 3 fights? Ummm no. A date was set early this year and Ward had to fit in as many fights within a 10 month period; give or take. There was no HBO let Ward have anything.

Secondly, I didn't even read that schit about Mayweather. Mayweather has been gone from HBO for how many years?

Everything you said about Ward would make sense had you and HBO not been so pro-GGG and letting his team get away with murder.

Well since I scored the fight 116-112 for Kovalev I would say to win all the rounds train for mugging tactics?

So much for Ward being humble huh? Actually enjoys he got the home cooked decision. Pathetic!

HBO wanted to see Ward lose, so they gave him a robbery decision? Your conspiracy theory doesn't even make sense. HBO had a high guarantee paying Ward so all they wanted, after five years of bull****, was for him to actually deliver fights they could sell and make money off of. That's all. They wanted to make Ward a star they could make money off of, and to do that they needed to have him fight someone good, and "win."

Did they want Ward to fight Kovalev soon? Of course! Because why would they want to pay Ward millions to fight nobodies? Of course HBO wants its fighters to fight the best fights as often as possible! That's just ****ing common sense. But somehow you translate that to "they wanted it asap because they wanted Ward to lose!"

I mean, they let Ward have three fights... Smith, Barrera, Brand. It's not their fault Ward picked who he picked. Ward could have picked better competition to prepare him. That's on him. But to act like HBO giving Ward "only" three tune-up fights (including Smith on BET) means they wanted him to get KTFO or lose makes no sense. You guys bought into the bull**** narrative that HBO wanted Kovalev to win because he's more exciting. Since when does HBO care about excitement? They wanted the black American gold medalist to win so they could try to create their next AMERICAN pay-per-view attraction, and that's why he got the robbery decision.

Seriously guys, use your damn brains. Ward gets a gift decision, Kellerman sells it like a used car salesman all night, but you still think HBO wanted Ward to lose to a Russian who can barely speak English and has no American fan base at all? After Floyd Mayweather just made half a billion dollars on one fight, you seriously think HBO was thinking "yeah that model worked, but let's get Ward knocked out instead and try a new model with a Russian who can't speak English!"

In what world would anyone believe that? Everyone knows HBO would do the opposite. "Floyd just made half a billion dollars. Floyd is black, American, and his style generates hatred and interest. Ward is also black, American, has a similar style, and a gold medal. We can probably repeat the PPV success if Ward wins."

That's much more logical, and now we know it's exactly what happened.
Talk about conspiracy theories! Mayweather and Ward are nothing alike aside from being black. Even that's a stretch since Ward is bi-racial but you can run with it anyway. Trying to make Ward into the next Mayweather would never work and you know it. Mayweather played the arrogant, braggadocio, villain, something Ward clearly has no interest in doing.

Just state your true feeling about race relations, don't try to hide your bias in a boxing post. Besides, everyone knows HBO has hitched their PPV dreams onto GGG. Ward and Kov are second fiddle when it comes to him.....

Funny coming from a guy who didn't win the first fight. What a joke.

Kov was winning but Ward kept hugging. The amount of time spent is dumb clinches and wrestling has to have been 5+ minutes of the whole fight. It was so ****** for Kov to engage.

I think Kovalev turns it into a brawl and uses his size to greater advantage. As soon as Kovalev knows he can't win on points I don't like the rematch for Ward. Ward is still great but he has lost just a little bit and there is a size disparity.

Kovalev said after the fight that he essentially was proving he could outbox him and is going to turn it up a notch and there isn't really a reason to believe that. I expect Kovalev to start even more aggressively and use his jab to set up big shots and take Ward out early or at least test him hard early on. What adjustments will Ward make when under Kovalev's firepower at a higher rate? I think he breaks, Kovalev does more damage to Ward than vica versa as we've seen, he's going to have to fight a war and I'm not sure he survives it.
Yes, he really should have been obsessed with the knock out for this one, as all fighters should be when in a p4p fight like this. Clearly, it was the only way he was going to win. I see him throwing harder and faster earlier in the fight next time. He needs at least two knockdowns to convince the sorry a$$ judges apparently. I kind of wish he'd had Steward in his corner who always preached about knocking guys out since you can't argue with a knock out. The Krusher must Krush him next time out.

When Kovalev had gas, Ward had nothing for him....just by hiring a real conditioning coach and being confident in his conditioning, Kovalev would win 9 rounds instead of the 6-7 he won yesterday.
