Kovalev forgot the body, especially late! He did not have a Plan B! I blame that on John David Jackson! If he had watched Ward's fights, he knows how he fights on the inside, and Kovalev should have been prepared for that! The KD should have been enough to win, but Kovalev spent the night trying to get another KD or a KO and forgot about everything else! He tried to tie Ward up, but he did not show any inside fighting ability, and he payed for it!Comment

He doesn't have to do anything differently, only ask for fair judges. By example : one american, on russian and one indian... but not three americans.
We can witness that **** only in boxing.

He got knocked down in the 2nd round. He also was schooling kov from round 5-12 which means kov better adjust because ward understand kov timing, punches and style.
All of kov success was early in the fight. He looked like **** in the 2nd half which is a sign that other fighter figured you out.Last edited by victorythagr8; 11-21-2016, 07:59 AM.Comment

Did u not see Kov's black eyes ?I thought he already knew what Kovalev was going to bring yet he got clipped with the jab in the first round and got knocked down in the second...Referee saved him from the knockout and judges gave him the titles. Next time, Ward's face will be even more battered and he is fully aware of that. ..Just tell your trainer to stop this racist bull****..Comment

Don't blame Jackson, he's just a figure head. The Kov/Jackson corner is nothing but an illusion. During this fight Kov listened to his Russian corner man who talks for the first 45 seconds of the break and then Jackson (almost reluctantly) adds his two cents. It shows that all the observations by Hunter were correct, they don't respect Jackson.Kovalev forgot the body, especially late! He did not have a Plan B! I blame that on John David Jackson! I don't think I've ever seen that before in a Kov fight. Why wait till your biggest fight to marginalize Jackson on your biggest stage. He deserved what he got = A ***ing LLast edited by SugarRaRobinson; 11-21-2016, 08:57 AM.Comment

I think Kovalev has to get more done with his left hook, and with uppercuts in general. And while he did well with his jab, Ward eventually got on top in that battle. It was so close I can't see a clear advantage for either guy in the replay. Ward doesn't have much more to offer either. Kovalev took him to his limit.Comment

Kovalev said after the kd he carried Ward trying to make it an exciting fight and not too short an affair since it was in the biggest platform of his career. I did think it was odd how slow he started and how easy he eas going on Ward early, chalked it up to respect of his opponent, but it will be interesting how he approaches the rematch.Comment
