    This is 100% correct

      This right here

Also: As I warned everyone, contract or not, Ward is not fighting Kovalev again.

He is going to weasel out

No. Andre needs to figure something out if Sergey decides to not engage in clinching as much. That's why Virgil already started to cry about Sergey not wanting to fight inside.

JDJ made the comment that Kovalev shouldn't be trying to make the point and wrestle less.

I don't see Andre out jabbing Sergey or outboxing him at mid/long range.

Well his team could vet the judges better for a start.

Might thoughts as well. I am very skeptical this fight happens soon.

Maybe in a few years as cash out thing.

Or did Kovalev fade because he put a lot into the first half.

I'm not sold on the notion that Ward figured Kov out.
He did figure him out because long before Kov faded, Ward altered his game plan and began to fight inside and that's what caused Kov to fade. If a guy is not a big puncher, the one place where he can have power is with body shots and Ward knew that Kov simply cannot fight n the inside. It is Kov's Achilles heel.

It shows that all the observations by Hunter were correct, they don't respect Jackson.

I don't think I've ever seen that before in a Kov fight. Why wait till your biggest fight to marginalize Jackson on your biggest stage. He deserved what he got = A ***ing L
After watching this fight, I really feel that GGG would've been a better opponent for Ward than Kovalev. Kovalev didn't have enough power to neutralize Ward, and after that didn't work, he became a limited fighter. I think GGG would've been able to adapt to the inside game, his only disadvantage would be his size! I want to see Ward vs. GGG, but it's totally unfair to ask GGG to go to 175, or for Ward to go back to 168! Ward vs. Golovkin @ 170! Make it happen!

Kovalev needs to come out aggressive and go for the KO. He was been very effective early. Otherwise, it will be more of he same.

I agree, I think Kovalev could win a rematch. But with that said I do think in a rematch he would overly aggressive and try to do things that are out of character for him.

I hope it can happen as well, but I don't think GGG would be as formidable as Kov because he's much easier it hit than is Kovalev. Kov offers tremendous problems for most of his opponents due to great power and long range. GGG has power but isn't rangy. When ur defense is your offense your not gonna pose much of a problem for Ward. Ward makes ggg look amateurish.
