Honestly the discussion is mute, when you have 90% or more of the genuine boxing publications scoring the fight for Kovalev and almost 99% of fans doing the same, I think the argument ends.
Ward certainly isn't P4P No. 1

Neither.
Does he have skill? absolutely.
Is he defensively gifted? definitely
Is he a multifaceted p4p fighter? definitely not IMO
He reminds me Wlad in a way that he has managed to get to the top of the sport by crafting a specific style of potshotting jab's and clinching and spoiling.
the major difference of course is Wlad has elite power and ward is totally feather fisted.Comment

I've said that for years now, I said it before the fight in fact. I simply had Ward as a possible winner because I did not imagine Kovalev would be stronger on the inside.Neither.

I had just about everyone telling me Ward was multi-faceted, could move like Leonard, punch like Jones etc etc etc
Now all of you are coming out and saying what I've said all along.Comment

oh gtfoh with that bs
by the time the Kovalev fight happened, Hopkins was either ranked 2 or 3 in the entire LHW and held 2 of the 4 major world titles. That's absolute bull**** and people like you are a disgrace to boxing.
And people talking about Ward being diminished like he has ever shown anything beyond a good inside game and the odd spurt of movement. It took him 9 rounds to beat up a middleweight journeyman last year.
