well currently the opponents aren't there for him to do so. the biggest fight is a guy who Mayweather already beat and the dudes scared of him anyways.

As for this, no. I think he'll be joe calzaghe level rated.
Broner has defeated more current and former world champion and even moved up 3 divisions and challenged himself...he has clearly taken more risks..Broner is 5-2 with 2 kos against former or current champions at 26..and GGG at 34 is 3-0 with 3 kos...**** outta here

a guy who stopped starving himself and decided to fight guys his own size is challenging himself? Boxing is full of paper champions, who cares about them being "champions." Were any of them actually good fighters? Three good champions dropping their belts and paying money to avoid Golovkin is more impressive than anything Broner has done.

Stop trying to act like an objective fan. You're just as bad as the other pathetic trolls on here.

Floyd had actual stars to fight like Pac and Cotto and Oscar.. GGG has who? A guy who won't fight him in Canelo and nobody at his weight class worth a damn and nobody at 168 anymore who does anything for his "legacy" in the end..

So no, he has no chance. He will be a hall of famer IMO but may never get the huge fight unless he goes to 175 at some point to fight Kovalev or Ward...

Beating Canelo won't do it...beating whoever moves from 154 won't do it either... Weak era at MW..

                Hahaha What a dumb question.

As if GGG is a young buck fresh out of winning a gold medal in the olympics.

Are you aware that GGG is 34?

Let's cut the BS here and let's be honest.
Time is not on GGGs side to accomplish what Floyd has accomplished.

Dude, in 6 years he is going to be 40. In boxing, 40 is senior citizen age LOL

Floyd has been a champion from 130lbs -154lbs.

Gennady would need to do something simmilar.

                  Roy jones did it
                  James toney
                  Bhop to some extent

There is an exception though. Marvin Hagler. He fought everybody though from mugabi, leonard, hearns duran. He had stronger competition but he was dominant. So....maybe

Floyd moved from 130 to 140 because he couldn't make 130 anymore!
You do grow out of weight classes when you start young!
I regard his talents higher at 140 than 147, as a welter in boxing history he gets beaten up by the greats.
If people think Maidana did good against him in their first fight imagine what Basilio could do? Basilio is Maidana but does everything better than Maidana did.

GGG is a natural 160 pounder, at 5'9-10" he is a normal sized middleweight.
All the talk about moving up is a hype job during these times where 135 to 154 pound fighters are all inter-changeable because their all 5'7-8".

Why does it matter if Mayweather moved up or GGG doesn't just enjoy what they do and stop playing matchmaker hell no one on this forum has spent a day in the sport and the whole site is "Fantasy Boxing"

Check out Canzaneri or Armstrong those guys held 3 titles at the "same time"!
