If it's the list of a neutral fan I think he could surpass him if he continues to knock out everybody and the best middleweights share a ring with him. He is undefeated with many successful title defenses. Knock outs are more impressive than unanimous decisions. He loses far fewer rounds per fight than even Mayweather. He has never been in a fight that was remotely close. He seldom loses a single round and in no fight did he ever lose more than two rounds. He has completely dominated every opponent. He never had a fight like Mayweather's fights with Oscar and Castillo where many thought Mayweather lost. Mayweather has fought better fighters because everybody is happy to fight Mayweather for the big money and Mayweather won't likely knock them out. GGG wants to fight the best middleweights in the world but many of them just flat out won't fight him.
Even a GGG fan would have to admit that he can't leapfrog Floyd without leaving 160... He'd have to pick up a belt or 2 at 168 and beat 2 of Ward, Kovalev and Beterbiev at 175. If he did that while keeping up his dominant KOs then he'd have a real and fair chance at being considered the better legend.

Floyd didn't lose many rounds fighting guys his own size and at a younger age. Will a 38 or 39 year old Golovkin at 175 still dominate bigger men the way he has done at 160 now? I honestly doubt it.

No going to happen, not because he is not good enough but mostly because he is in the most Pu$$iest Middleweight ERA of Boxing EVER!

Billy Joe, Danny Jacobs are terrified of him, they talk tough to the boxing Media and PRETEND like they want to fight but I call BULL**** from both of them. Billy Joe talks like he wants to fight then price himself out of a fight. Danny Jacobs wants to now get Bold after he seems that GGG and Eubank are in Negotiations when he couldn't called GGG out and challenged him at the Thurman vs Porter fight

So no he won't have the time or the competition to get very high on any All Time Great Ranks but that doesn't mean he can't go down as one of the greatest Middleweights Ever. That is why I'm really not against him staying at 160 and building that legacy instead of moving up to 168 now, for WHO Exactly?

you just want golovkin to move up in weight, and will give him to credit until he does. then you'll discredit the guys at 168. you want him to lose, not to get the fights that make the most sense for him and for boxing.

if golovkin is moved properly he can be a candidate for ward - kovalev in a megafight in time. making that a megafight requires a victory over canelo alvarez. golovkin will not have the kind of drawing power without it. you're also talking about about leaving the bigger fight behind to chase the smaller one. again, this makes no sense, unless you're simply matching golovkin as poorly as you can in an attempt to make him lose. which you are. because you're a fanboy / "a hater."

          you're a hater.
          you're a golovkin hater.

that's what you are. the word that has come into use over the last couple of decades is personified by what you do. it's all you do. what you do is toxic to the objective discussions taking place on this forum.

you've got to be completely insane to blame k2 for "not stepping on the gas" when they're trying as hard as they can to get the biggest fight in boxing. that's insane. you're a hater, and insane.
          You're a coward.

And he's too much of a fraud to move up.

How the heck can Golovkin even come close to comparing with that?

that would be like Floyd moving up to Middle and KOing GGG
                  !
When Floyd moved to welter he fought out of prime welters and lightweights moving up for him. Don't act like Floyd's movement up was some great task hell he had all his opponents hand picked at 135 and 140 pounders!

What great fighter did he knock out when moving up?
???? That would be GGG moving up 2 divisions..Floyd moved up 4 already

It's just not that possible at this rate, unless he wins his remaining fights at 160, including Canelo, moves up and wins titles at 168 and 175, especially by KO and especially against top 3 ranked opponents.

You're so ridiculous I don't know why you pretend to be an objective fan.

As for this, no. I think he'll be joe calzaghe level rated.
