GGG started too late. I don't care how many KO's he racks up. until he faces elite competition over multiple weight classes and wins in dominating fashsion (doesn't have to be by ko) he's not in the conversation. there is no comparison.

He has about 0% chance of surpassing mayweather on an atg list because
1. Hes 34 without a proper world class name on his record
2. Hes fighting in a weak division, fighting Eubank jr and BJS now isnt improving his record both might end up being great names but as of 2016 both are too early in there career to make his record good enough
3. 154 is a good division but even if he fights Lara, Andrade, the Charlos and Canelo beating up guys from the weight below over and over again wont be enough
4. 168 hasnt got big enough names that if he cleared that out that it would be enough
5. Hes too small for the next good weight class Kovalev, Ward and Stevenson all beat him convincingly
6. At 34 how many fights has he got left because even 10 world class fights wont be enough
Hes an excellent boxer but his record is not atg material therefor k2 are going to have to dig deep and secure big names if hes going to be remembered as such.

I don't think GGG can given his age, likely future opponents, and the fact he hasn't defeated a single opponent anyone would call great up to this point in his career.
