You would have to catch Lara first! I heard he's still running...

Yes, but I do not think Canelo would force 155 like he is with GGG.

I think Lara/Jacobs would be a decent fight but a very tough sell. I would make it the undercard of Wilder/Povetkin or Wilder/Fury.

Jacobs would go down to 155 to fight Canelo in a heartbeat. GGG is a hype job like Ronda and Connor. He's in the shtyiest division out there. At least at 155 Canelo can fight 154 and 160lbrs. And GGG can stick to fighting Peter Wade. A 30-1 Buster Douglas underdog. I can count easily 13-15 better MW's then him.. He soo fkn bad that NOBODY is RANKED #2. A nobody is RANKED higher than him...

Damn dude, for a guy that dislikes golovkin so much, you seem to talk alot about him. Every thread that mentions the guys name, you jump onto it,and start crying and belittling him as much as possible, kinda like a pissed off ex girlfriend. As much as you want to see him lose, its not going to happen any time soon, especially not to some ginger, prancing around with a rented belt, bringing up 147 lb fighters into a made up division.

It would get him a big stage against the most popular PPV draw in the sport currently. His cut of the PPV sales would also get him more money than he can get anywhere else.

It's either that or go back to the Dominic Wades of the division and 97k on PPV.

Also Lara didn't beat Canelo so that point is moot.

Maybe because I like to see fighter challenge themselves. How many top #25 P4P boxers has Canelo fought??? And how many has GGG fought? You right ill never see ggg lose because hell never challenge himself. I bet you CASH that Canelo next fight will be agaisnt a MUCH RANKED higher boxer than GGG next tomato can. I'll close my account if GGG fights a top 20 P4P boxer afer Peter Pan Wade. You do the same though we he picks his next tomato can. U gonna man up and take bet???

That doesn't get you big fights. His top 3 status was a gift by writers, websites, and fans because he is a likable KO artist, no other reason. He didn't actually earn with a big win, or several big wins.

Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo are three guys of 3 different races and they were/are all superstars. Pacquiao did not inherit a large following just from being Asian, he had to earn it by beating guys up that people didn't think he could beat. African Americans of Floyd's era don't sell very well, Floyd had to do it by winning and taking challenges. A fighter as young as Canelo being that popular doesn't just happen by being Mexican, you have take on the fighters that fans say you are ducking (Trout, Lara) and win.

Geography is not the problem here, it's the balls.

It' his own fault. Or his promotional team. They do a good job of taking him on tv shows, soccer stadiums, Samsung commericals, ect. But then announce he's fighting Dominic Wade or Willie Monroe Jr. It's nice that he wants to unify the division but that means he's going to be fighting the likes Dominic Wade, Murata, Derevyanchenko... Nobody wants to see that. If he was around 26 or 27 that would be ok. But he's 33 with a terrible resume. But as long as his fans keep accepting it, and the media keeps pushing the narrative he's avoided, this is what we can expect from him. He's selling out the forum fighting Monroe Jr and Wade he's going to continue doing it.

He will struggle to make 154 and if he gets stripped of the title he will lose a lot of respect and fans. I don't think all the balls are in cannel's court at all. Or what is he gonna do stay at 155 without a title now and expect guys like I dunno bradley or something to go up and fight him.

Presuming they believe in themselves it is in the best interests of both guys to make the fight. The winner will be the biggest star in boxing by a country mile. The difference is Canelo's team don't believe in him. They don't believe he can beat GGG.

The answer is nobody, he can pick and choose from guys at 154 getting them to come up to his division but there's not a single fight there that would be the mega fight a GGG fight would be.

Everybody screaming GGG needs Canelo but Canelo needs GGG just as bad if he wants the biggest fight available to him right now, otherwise he looks like a guy looking for the easiest fights and avoiding the best challengers. I used to have a lot of respect for Canelo.
Canelo will have to fight GGG as a challenger eventually, if he won't do it as a champion.
