They stripped Sergio Martinez for not fighting Zbik, and gave him the WBC Silver title. I imagine they're fine with doing the same for Alvarez.

Absolutely because news flash ladies gentleman (hold onto your chairs for this one) HES NOT A STAR. He NEVER was a STAR, and NEVER will be a STAR. He's actually the furthest thing removed from a star in boxing big names. He's champion, He's undefeated, 1 million KOs, etc and no one gives TWO ****S about him. Sorry to burst his fans bubbles, that's just the facts.

      He's also 35 years old.

This is why he needs to accept the Canelo fight at 155 with whatever purse split they offer him.

        Beggars can't be chosers.

Geale beat slyvester and sturm (both in Germany) so obviously could fight.

Alvarez struggled in two of his Fights. If he had won them convinvingly, there would be a lot more hype around him.

Floyd is great boxer and best pound for pound. His amateur record is 81-6, Golovkins is 345-5. Floyd got bronze, Golovkin got silver. Floyd done a lot more in his career as pro as he's had a lot more time.. Everyone has their own destiy.

Do you know how old Hopkins was when he unified with Trinidad? 36 years old.

Anyway.. Betrand Russel said that anything which can be explained in a nutshell should remian there. Peace.
Your a RTARD!!!Floyd was the 1st American to beat a Cuban in 20years!!! He beat the LEGENDARY Loerenzo Aragon. Also you dumb *** he was ROBBED so bad the the ref lifted his arm even though he was ROBBED...And Canelo beat P4P boxers while GGg beat fkn skanky hood****. U dumb *** GGG hasn't fought one too 100 P4P boxer. Andre Ward would of beat this over hyped Ronda Rousey/Conor McGregor FRAUD up.

I think it comes down to what GGG wants more.

If its money-well then 155 would likely be the weight of the fight. If he truly wants the belts and unification, then do not make a deal for 155 and hope the WBC strips Canelo.

Assuming that happens, my guess is Canelo then fights Saunders and gets his belt, so we would be right back where we started.

Why? What would that do for him?

Beating Canelo won't make you a big star, ask Lara.

Hes not a PPV star, but he puts asses in seats. He is one of only a select few that can sell out an arena pretty much wherever he decides to show up. He certainly needs a Canelo type opponent to push him into that rare air that like 5 boxers can claim to float in, but keep telling yourself he is'nt a satr lol. I mean you are essentially saying if he is'nt on a Floyd, Pac, Canelo, or Cotto
type level than no one cares about him. That would be like saying no one gives a **** about any basketball player not named Lebron, Curry, or Durant. Which is hysterical that anyone could actually think that and keep a straight face.

I agree that he should accept the catch weight, but I don't think he should accept anything less than 40% of the purse.

Do you think Danny Jacobs would come down to 155 for Canelo? I would love to see that fight! I really wish Lara would go up to 160 and challenge Jacobs for his belt! That's another great fight!
