Much depends on whether WBC will actually go through and strip Canelo.

They stripped Sergio Martinez for not fighting Zbik, and gave him the WBC Silver title. I imagine they're fine with doing the same for Alvarez.

Most people aren't in the know with regards to the rumours, speculation and promotor bull****, so experts/commentators go from his perforamance against whoever is in front of him. Martin Murray only stoppage is from Golovkin. David Lemiux (another world champ) didn't win a single round before being stopped in the 8th. Geale beat slyvester and sturm (both in Germany) so obviously could fight.

Alvarez struggled in two of his Fights. If he had won them convinvingly, there would be a lot more hype around him.

Floyd is great boxer and best pound for pound. His amateur record is 81-6, Golovkins is 345-5. Floyd got bronze, Golovkin got silver. Floyd done a lot more in his career as pro as he's had a lot more time.. Everyone has their own destiy.

I think it comes down to what GGG wants more.

If its money-well then 155 would likely be the weight of the fight. If he truly wants the belts and unification, then do not make a deal for 155 and hope the WBC strips Canelo.

Assuming that happens, my guess is Canelo then fights Saunders and gets his belt, so we would be right back where we started.

Hes not a PPV star, but he puts asses in seats. He is one of only a select few that can sell out an arena pretty much wherever he decides to show up. He certainly needs a Canelo type opponent to push him into that rare air that like 5 boxers can claim to float in, but keep telling yourself he is'nt a satr lol. I agree that he should accept the catch weight, but I don't think he should accept anything less than 40% of the purse.
