which takes me back to my original point, if duva felt that the fight wouldnt get made, she would be showing it. and yes both sides are showing interest in it. why would they be projecting this in late 2016, why would roc nation sign ward if it wasnt trying to make big fights, theyve already done what TR failed to do a fight-by-fight basis with cotto, secure him the canelo fight on his terms. why would HBO want to re-up andre without a commitment to kovalev. even hbo didnt want the geale fight unless cotto made a commitment to deliver a canelo fight, which he has. im all for trying to push for the best fights in boxing. if duva wanted to put pressure on ward or roc nation, all she has to say is "we have a contract with andre's name missing, and it will be here at any time" thats what theyre trynna do with stevenson.

So basically a heavyweight could never move up the P4P list because there is rarely more than one HW on the top 10 at any time.

P4P is not meant for the fighters on the list to fight each other. It is a THEORETICAL RANKING of how they would rank if they actually did all weigh the same and actually were able to fight each other.

I think I need to find a boxing board with posters who actually understand the nuances of the sport.

A drained Dawson which made that win meaningless in my book. Beating drained fighters does not make one great. Stevenson made an offer for two fights with Ward and Ward tucked his tail and ran.
