A drained Dawson which made that win meaningless in my book. Beating drained fighters does not make one great. Stevenson made an offer for two fights with Ward and Ward tucked his tail and ran.

I have no respect for the man at all. What can I say? I have more respect for Stevenson, former pimp and runner of underage girls, than I do for Ward.

They want Andre to fight Kovalev, no doubt about that. They need to get a return on the money they invested in him.

But Roc also sent an offer to Loeffler, trying to target a fight with GGG, also in 2016. And that was months after Duva started talking up Ward/Kovalev.

If Ward himself had committed to fighting Kovalev, we would have heard about it by now, and Roc wouldn't have sent that offer to Loeffler.

bc the goal was to target GGG first then settle into LHW before the Kovalev fight by the end of 2016. thats the logic thing to do and what ALL boxing fans would love, 2 fights featuring 3 of the top 5 p4p fighter whom all happen to be undefeated and have unified their respective divisons. GGG vs Ward and GGG vs Kovalev are fights i would have love to see but my focus is solely on Kovalev vs Ward now.

Duva, Roc and HBO ALL want Ward to step up and agree to take the fight, but unless Ward wants it too, it won't happen.

In my opinion beating Ward doesn't prove who the number 1 guy is, its a good win on paper because of things he did 5 years ago but he's done nothing and been inactive since so...

I don't see how that merits who should be P4P 1, it certainly would toss Ward back into top 5 if he beats Kovalev.
