Canelo's already started the diva crap with this September 12th or else nonsense. Nothing suggests Cotto needs to bow down. That would be being a diva.

Canelo has a lot of diva in him. It's cultural... Self pity ala "mi vida loca."

His hate for Cotto is odd and something that will not get him far in negotiations with Cotto. Check that peasant complex at the door, stop trying to prove you are better than Cotto because you have freckles and grasp the pecking order.

Never thought I'd say this but...Cotto should avoid Canelo. A lot of the damage Cotto has suffered is psychological. He's not ready for that. He's definitely better than Kirkland but Lara would probably beat him pretty bad. Lara is a better Trout. Anyway, he sounds okay with taking these easy fights and making decent money. The Canelo fight would make him 10 million. Wouldn't that be one of, if not THE biggest purse of his career? Anyway, Cotto just isn't there mentally. Some will see this as just bashing, and I'm not. Cotto deserves to make any decision he wants for his career. He can fight whoever he wants. We definitely know who he DOESNT want to fight.

I still have my doubts that Mayweather even fights in September. He might decide do take a vacation till next year when Pac is healthy and he makes a rematch. You never know with Floyd. I don't think negotiations should be made based on Floyd's thinking.

It could be in Vegas, Texas or NYC. I just believe that the money to be made for both Cotto and Canelo would be in Vegas and Texas. (not to mention no state taxes) If Cotto agrees to come to Texas he should get the lions share, should be allowed to pick the judges. He will probably chose the catchweight as well.
