This was bound to happen. It's the worst kept secret that Haymon is really the promoter and just blatantly circumventing the Ali act. Now other promoters and associations are finally speaking up. It's about time that his shady arse is investigated. He has been getting sued left and right and each time he was forced to settle out of court. This time I don't think he can pay them to go away.

Premier match making?? Most casual fans that I know have stopped watching the PBC fights simply because they have ******. I personally don't want them to suck but for the most part they really have. In reality even the Fonfara-Chavez fight ****** for the casual fan. I also don't think creating any type of new champions is the answer. Therefore I hope Haymon fails if that is what he attempts to do, and it has nothing to do with what color he happens to be.Who is he getting his funding from ? Don't know , prolly saved them Floyd checks he's been getting since 2006 . His business doesn't seem to have a lot of overhead because most of the funding to pay fighters comes from networks per-fight . Or large sums of money from the networks for multiple year contracts . If he does have partners , who cares who they r , as I posted earlier "Dem wealthy folk problems" . My question to u is why the hell r u so emotionally invested in Haymon getting knocked down ? At least has hasn't even attempted to spoon feed us garbage like Manny vs Marquez part 10. Of Manny vs Algeri . As a fan , all u should concern yourself with is PREMIER MATCH-MAKING , and if u don't profess that Haymon is doing a better job than Arum , than u r a racist ! Why do u care how powerful Al is as long as he's bringing u better match ups ? Stop counting another mans money and stop focusing on how much power another man has if it doesn't affect yours , u hater !Comment

The lawsuit won't stick but it's going stop him from eventually turning into a ufc type league and having its own belts that's pretty much what it was filed to stop for down the road actionsPremier match making?? People saying the lawsuit won't stick are the same ones who said Arum lawsuit over Chavez Jr wouldn't stick. Yet Haymon was forced to submit and pay Arum. Said the same about Oscar's lawsuit last year against Haymon and that scumbag Schaefer. Yet Haymon was forced to pay Oscar tens of millions. Haymon is in big trouble. His investors must be upset first PBC ratings have been falling and now the man they backed in addition to flushing their money down the toilet has dragged them into a lawsuit.Comment

I guess the term "Casual Boxing Fan" has many different shades of grey , because those who I consider to be casual boxing fans know nothing about Fonfara/Chavez . Casual boxing fans r those who really only know about BIG fights like the one on Saturday . U say the PBC fights have ****** but most all on this site calmored to see One Time vs Geurrero and most were even excited to see Fonfara/ Chavez which was a very good matchup considering most were wrong thinking Chavez would win . But because its Haymon , many on here express the excitement BEFORE a certain match happens , and after the fight occurs the very same people S..T on the matchup . It's pretty disgusting . But I really don't wanna hear no more about the "Casual Boxing Fan" because its not my concern as to how to get a casual boxing fan to become a regular on . I don't own a network ! I simply wanna see better matchups , and that's exactly what Haymon has provided in my opinion . And in mostly everybody else's opinion , until after the fight when they change their tune .Comment

The lawsuit holds enough water to solve the drought problems in California and Las Vegas.
Haymon could only legally start a 'league' if he cancelled all personal contracts with the fighters and signed them to PBC contracts. This could open him up to any number of lawsuits from various fighters who do not want to cancel their existing contracts or sign an exclusive contract with PBC.Haymon knew he was overstepping the rules with the way he's controlling the promoters & the fighters with the contracts he has them sign. Fighter's are locked into Haymon for 9 years, the reason we found that out was because of the Beterbiev incident where the contracts were ruled illegal in Canada.
Thing is Haymon doesn't really need to lock the fighters & promoters into those slave contracts because he holds all the money & tv dates. Their going to come to him regardless. I think if he were to start an official league, he'd be absolved of those legal technicalities their going after him with.
I wonder if his investors will be willing to pay for his legal defense. They are investing in a boxing/television project, not in Haymon. If this gets really hairy in court, they may well use it as grounds to break their own contracts with Haymon and the PBC and leave them high and dry.Al's pockets better be deep, at some point that money is going to run out though. He's paid off Oscar (Well over 10m) and who knows how much to Arum for Jr. At some point people are going to expect something on their return... then again maybe not. Al's been robbing people of their money for a while.
And we have another winner. It is not ABC the network you idiot, it is the Association of Boxing Commissions. Try keeping up with the rest of us and actually read the damn thread.Comment
