I don't consider Calzahge a loss because Hopkins got robbed.Last edited by Build That Wall; 02-18-2015, 10:50 PM.Comment

I referenced those fights as proof that they're of the same era, I'm not speaking of who was better at that time.Comment

Depends on what you see as overrated, I personally don't think he is. Not many who would beat him from 54-60.Comment

He started fighting 13 years before Cotto turned pro. Is De La Hoya of Cotto's era? Roy Jones Jr.? Tito Trinidad? What do you define eras by?This is exactly what I'm talking about, a terrible argument made by a delusional fan. Hopkins was beating kelly Pavlik around the ring when cotto was getting his brain scrambled by margarito and PAC. He was beating jean pascal while cotto was losing to Austin trout. How are they not of the same era?
Pavlik win isn't particularly special in hindsight. And what has Pascal done since the Hopkins loss, other than become a soon to be plank against Kovalev.Comment

Yes but his best fights, win or lose, are at the same time frame as cottos. Do you not see how utterly ridiculous what you're saying is? It's ok to be wrong, the world won't end.He started fighting 13 years before Cotto turned pro. Is De La Hoya of Cotto's era? Roy Jones Jr.? Tito Trinidad? What do you define eras by?
