He cleaned out his division easily. He beat the odds. He is one of a kind. Anyone you put against him is a tuneup.

And Cotto's work compared Hopkins in that era is just as good.

By The Ring? No. By those already proclaiming him an ATG? Hell to the yes.

He's superbly overhyped*he's not the only boxer*. Overrated in a way that he is the so called #1 guy at 160 for just one fight.

That's a valid argument about 160 pounds but we are talking about his whole career here.

Thanks for the answers as expected there are quite a few fan boys and troll answer, but a few nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout that probably are the closest to the truth. I would love to see the best argument for and against go head to head instead of fighting and bickering.

As in take his record and say why it deserves HOF status if that's your opinion or take his record and say why he is overrated. (By record I don't mean how big his fan base is). Don't get upset is just a question just make your case.

Mosley always ****** and was a ped user so his entire career means nothing and if you didn't know that then you must be new to boxing idiot

                    Only when it's convenient.

How come you don't discredit his career for steroids? Oh because Cotto got the "win"

Discredit his career for roids? That's a better accomplishment, what are you talking about? Good for Cotto, he beat a roided up P4P top 10 fighter. Taking steroids might make you a cheat, it also makes you a tougher fighter.
