Maidana himself is a high risk low reward type of fighter, his shameless avoidance of Thurman for that reason is lame, the problem with fighters like Maidana is whenever they duck a fighter no one brings it up or called them names for it. Some fighters just seem to be immune to criticism. They can duck and fake injuries all they want because they are "people's champions".

Right now Maidana is old news. He got the big fight and lost, now it's back to the drawing board for him. He can't expect to fight another big name right away. And given the way he's treating Thurman, he has no right to complain if Khan doesn't fight him.

Maidana needs to STFU and move out of the way. He didn't just get one big money fight -- he got two. He performed admirably in the first fight, but the second wasn't even close.
