Khan is high risk, but high reward for Maidana, while Thurman is high risk, low reward. It seems ****** to pick Thurman here. Not only that, Maidana has been demanding a Khan rematch since their first fight.

Thurman also commented Khan would beat him. Meaning, Khan is the more dangerous fight for Maidana.

I don't get the big fuss about Maidana rejecting Thurman. What exactly am I missing?

Maidana isn't "picking" Khan. He's not going to get that fight, and he isn't going to get one better. Thurman is among the best of those he can realistically fight, and we know Thurman wants it. No excuses.

Well i can understand Maidana here. He got credit for his performances against Floyd and beating Broner. His stock has risen in the past year and he's more well known. He probably feels Thurman is a step down in terms of paydays and profile of fights compared to what he's had in the past year. He probably wants to maintain that by trying to get the biggest fights available to him.

I dont believe Chino is actually afraid to fight Thurman, or anybody else for that matter.
