He lost 2 fights to arguably the best fighter in the world (and was very competitive) so there's no reason to hang his head low. As far as a confidence booster, what better fight for your confidence than an up and coming prospect with 21KOs that everyone seems to be ducking. I understand boxers doing what's best for their wallets but as fan I don't want to see fighters taking on fights they feel they can win, boxing is supposed to be about the best taking on the best and biggest threats. He's secured his retirement with 2 Mayweather fights, he needs to prove he's still relevant and not against glass chin Khan. The Ghost would be acceptable but knocking out Khan wouldn't really impress me...

Number one Thurman is undefeated and dangerous. That makes him a major threat in the ww division. Number two, since he looked so vulnerable why would either Maidana or Khan put him on there respective defeated resumes like Floyd did against slick, dangerous and undefeated Canelo? Still Maidana-khan is good.

Well it is a duck saying he doesnt want to fight a top WW. At the same time Khan would probably be the more safer fight because if Maidana lands then Khan is getting laid out. I think Maidana is not going to **** around in a rematch with Khan. He will also get paid more to fight Khan. I think Thurman is a more dangerous fight than Khan for Maidana anyway.

Maidana Has Wanted This Rematch For 4 Years!

Many felt Maidana won the first fight. Khan brings all his fast hands, combinations, and gets knocked out.

No one is ducking Thurman. He's beaten C level fighters, and he wants in. This is a stacked division with lots of money to be made. Plain and simple: he hasn't beaten anyone. Maidana whips Thurmans ass, Alexander beats his ass, and Khan beats his ass too.

Maidana stops Khan second time around.
                That's a great rematch.

Thurman took a couple steps last fight. He looked perplexed, and not mentally ready for experienced guys. If Thurman wants to be an elite fighter he has to look better against guys like Bundu (relatively unknown euro fighters who don't want to ****)

What caught me about the article was Mayweather's blatant duck of Amir Khan. I've always said Floyd wants no parts of that height, speed and elbow/hold game that Khan has - regardless of Khan's suspizzle chin (because Floyd knows he couldn't KO him anyway).

Not a big deal. Maidana obviously wants to avenge the Khan fight since Khan is hotter right now.

Still think the best idea for boxing for a PPV going forward would be Floyd vs Manny with Khan vs Maidana and Thurman vs Brook/Porter on the undercard and whoever is more impressive on the undercard gets more hype to fight the winner of Manny/Floyd in September(November if Manny wins)

But this is boxing we are talking about...that would make too much sense!

They all get hungry for more money in the end. All who criticize are those who haven't tasted the dinero yet. Maidana has and now he wants more. I can't blame him.
