i agreed with this.. i see what chino is doing, he wants the big fights for big money but like u said he's coming back off of 2 losses so he is not in a position to demands big fights for big money. get in there with a respectful name, beat him then u'll be in a position to start calling for those big fights again.

        Mayweather
        Pacquiao
        Bradley
        Brook
        Khan
        Thurman
        Marquez
        Porter
        Guerrero
        Chaves/Rios/Ali/Alexander

Maidana vs Thurman makes sense. He isn't getting any other money fight right now. It's best to get and stay in the mix by beating another top 10 welterweight.

Using this reason as a reason to not fight Thurman is a vicious cycle that keeps repeating itself. People ask "Who has Thurman fought that's credible", while simultaneously ducking him for that very reason which starts the whole cycle all over again. Meanwhile Thurman has to keep fighting bums while "so called" boxing fans like you ******ly ask "When is Thurman going to fight a top 10 fighter?" Do you see how this cycle keeps repeating? Or did you never make it past the 5th grade
I think you have to fight someone of some quality to get bigger names. Maybe beat up someone on their way down or someone else with a lot to prove. Alexander, Porter, Broner etc. Not people who are at that level just below the top such as Maidana, Khan etc.

Maidana is coming off two losses, right now he is in no position to be a picky ****. Although i see his reasoning for not wanting to fight Thurmann, high risk, low reward...the same then should apply for Khan, high risk low reward..

              People need to be consistent.
              This. I agree.

Against Keith 'i havent got ONE decent name on my record' Thurman he can. He would be the A side here big time. Keith is not known, brings no money. Is a nobody basically.

You keep putting Maidana at the top, where he doesn't belong. His career proves he's not on that level. He's among the Alexanders, Broners, Porters, and Guerreros.

i dont think chino should have this kind of leverage and this certainly doesnt look good as far as ducking thurman, but i dont blame him for only wanting the big fights especially after thurman was boo'd. it just makes more sense to fight amir khan from his perspective
