So every time Maidana loses, he shouldn't fight Thurman because he's coming off losses. Every time Maidana wins, he shouldn't fight Thurman because he deserves better fights.

This is why guys like Thurman get screwed, boxing fans allow it.

Exactly, Khan isn't rematching Maidana. He actually has much better options than Maidana. I guarantee you Maidana doesn't have much better realistic options than Thurman.

I agree - I was dissapointed in the second Mayweather fight.

It did look like Maidana just turned up for a payday.

I am a Chino fan, Mayweather was as good as he is going to get.

Maidana is clearly ducking Thurman. But apparently that's ok tho. Smh at boxing fans.

It's pathetic and I wish Maidana would be honest and just say he's only interested in the lucrative fights. It's like he'll flirt with the idea of Thurman but deep down not want it, all that self entitlement for a fighter who's coming off two loses. Khan's matchmaking and the fact that he already beat Maidana tells you all you need to know about the possibility of this fight not happening.

And the thing is, he got it twice. Every single fighter out there and their mother is begging for a Floyd fight, because it's the most lucrative fight in the sport. And he was amazingly able to get two of Floyd's six fights on his Showtime deal. I respect the hell out of Maidana, but just because you got a Floyd fight and lost -- doesn't just entitle you to nothing but big name, big money fights for the rest of your career. Just like everyone else he needs to earn it again.

The difference was the level of opposition. ****** question.
