Froch has been guaranteed £4m for the DeGale fight. 4 million pounds.....he wouldn't be guaranteed anything near that for GGG. The DeGale fight does better on UK PPV - DeGale won an Olympic gold medal for the country, he's a well known name whether you think he's liked or not. No one here has any idea who Golovkin is.
HBO PPV doesn't necessarily mean better money than a UK stadium fight, esp considering the purse split.

And I doubt that. Doesnt sky show all the GGG HBO fights, and boxnation from Monaco? And they can't stop gushing about him. DeGale is unlikeable, doesn't have a following, doesn't come with HBO backing. Froch GGG in the UK is an event.

And Chavez, Ward, Froch are unknown in the US, except to those that follow boxing. The UK media are good at building up hype, and no easier job than this fight. They have all the footage of GGG on sky, boxnation, don't need much more

Yes....yes it does. A UK Stadium fight still doesn't generate better money than a Vegas casino. You know this.

Yeah Sky does show Golovkin..........at 4 in the morning when about 7 people are watching. He's a much bigger name than a British Olympic Gold Medalist who was regularly on terrestrial TV watched by several millions.

          Stop it.

Its kinda obvious GGG hasnt ducked anyone. He takes what he can get and absolutely destroys his opponents. ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS.

I dont get how people say he is ducking anyone, besides maybe Ward, but Ward isnt fighting at all, and why would you fight the hardest fight of your life at a disadvantage. it makes no sense to fight at 168. why not let your body adjust to that weight naturally and fight the best with the leveled playing fields.

Froch's career high purse is like 2-3x Chavez', from a UK stadium fight and PPV. Didn't Haye make serious money from UK PPV? Nobody bothers to watch DeGale anymore.

Once again, I'm talking facts. If you're trying to insinuate that more people know Gennady Golovkin in the UK than James DeGale then I'll ask you to back it up with actual evidence other than the fact that you think DeGale is unlikeable.

You don't have to be liked to be known. I live in the UK and I can tell you categorically that no one knows who the *** Golovkin is here.

Froch vs DeGale would do better than both Chavez and GGG on PPV in the UK. What separates Chavez from GGG is the fact that Chavez would be a dual PPV.

I'm from the UK, and honestly he's not unknown. He's shown on box nation 24/7, in every Groves/Froch interview they mention his name with high regard in one way or another. Commentators constantly bring him up in the presence of Macklin and Murray etc.

Cool, I can throw out some anecdotal evidence too and say he's known to an acceptable standard considering his short HBO career. Also, do you not understand that if anybody takes 10 seconds to question who GGG is via the internet or through a fan the response they get will be "a ****ing wrecking ball which has a 90% KO ratio, never been knocked down or out, olympic silver medalist with over 350 fights". Boxnation is so widely accessible in the UK, it will give most people all the information they need to know who and what GGG is in boxing, it's that simple.

Now tell me, what sounds better, James Degale, or the above statement?

I think he's fairly popular in the UK, where as I think a lot of people actually dislike Degale.
Walk down the street and ask 100....or 1000 people who Gennady Golovkin is and you'd be lucky if 2 knew who he was.

Dual ppv means 3am in the uk, the numbers plummet I dont live in the uk and i can categorically state that anyone that follows boxing in the uk knows ggg, and is salivating over the fight. I never said more people know ggg vs degale, but i think the ggg fight mght do even better than degale in the uk cause it would carry massive hype. it's an international boxing event
