You're comparing Frankie Gavin to James Degale again, you clearly have no idea.

Degale is known in the UK to the casual audience. Frankie Gavin isn't.

The comparisons you've used are terrible.

Degale has nothing on Golovkin in the UK? Get a clue man.
I thought all those fights were at 4am, so only hard cores get to see them. Like GGG on sky sports.

I'm saying all the notoriety Degale has is due to his one amateur accomplishment, same as Gavin. Without his gold he's got no casual appeal.

Do you think Froch Degale is bigger than Froch Hopkins in the UK?

Casuals stay up to watch Mayweather an Pacquaio.

Degales noriety started with the Olympic gold medal it has further increased as a pro especially his fight with Groves which was a PPV fight in the UK.

Frankie Gavin's noriety hasn't even started. It's none existant. Casual fans don't even know what the Amateur World Championships are.

The comparison between Degale and Frankie Gavin is terrible.

Yes Froch-Degale would outsell Froch-Hopkins in the UK.

Froch-Degale would sell out in less than 24 hours I doubt Froch-Hopkins would sell out at all.

Nobody outside of hardcore fans in the U.K know who Golovkin is.

DeGale is very well known he has fought on Channel 5, won an olympic gold, had his rivalry with Groves and being linked to a fight with Froch.

You could ask 100 people in the U.K who Golovkin is you'd probably get 1 who knew and even then they'd say something like ''He is that big Russian that fought Haye isn't he?''

Do you not know the difference between the Olympics and the world amateur boxing championships? Winning an Olympic Gold Medal is a huge thing - no one cares about the world amateur boxing championships. The Olympics are broadcast to millions. Good Lord what a horrendous comparison.

Frankie Gavin just lost so his profile is at an all time low. It was never that big anyway. He has fought predominantly on BoxNation whereas DeGale has been on free TV for a large portion of his career. He was just showcased on Froch's last undercard with an impressive performance seen by a huge audience.

Why are you still arguing against facts? You're wrong. No amount of desperately embarrassing comparisons will change that

Hagler isn't all that what people make him out to be. I don't see a far superior like people claim it either. Specially with a particular group of fans. I don't get why they get so negative when dudes in this generation are putting in work.

A lot of actual boxing fans don't know what the Worlds are

Possibly the worst comparison I've ever seen.

My point was, a major fight like GGG Froch can do better than a manufactured local rivalry vs a non draw, but I guess I underestimated Degale's popularity in the UK. Surprised it took him so long to get picked up by a top promoter. He doesn't draw himself afaik. What's in his favor is he looked his best in his last fight, on a big event undercard.

The jury is still out of course. He's yet to face any top tier talent.

James Degale was signed instantly by Frank Warren when he turned pro who at the time was the biggest promoter in the UK and every single promoter wanted him.

Once again showing you have absolutely no clue on what you're talking about.

Fair enough. But why has his profile been so low until he signed with Hearn earlier this year? Things were looking dire not long ago:

Was Gonzalez enough to turn him into a huge UK fight for Froch?
