He is still slumped over there which is at or around literally 9.9 of the refs count at best
Even if not from that point on he has given the referee literally 1/20th of a second.

    His own fault.

The referee basically mimics Ortiz's movements. He himself is not even up when he's saying "Diez". He says it between having his knee on the canvas and standing up.

Counted out in the act of rising.

Oh please, the guy keeps making up his own rules. "wave is 10". Give me a break. He was also up before the wave, just look at jades screen shot

He is clearly up off the canvas

I've said the wave is 10 the whole way through.

              8, 9, OUT.

              8, 9, WAVE.

              8, 9, 10.

Gift wrap it any way you want.

but isn't at the referee criteria to decide if he let the fighter continue or not? for example khan beat the count against garcia and he even says he is ok but bayless didn't allow him to continue, and he waved him off.

He is off his knee yes but he is still slumped over with his hands by his knees, still rising as its waved.

He isn't completely upright and offering his gloves.

I seen his soul leave his body from a Matthysse uppercut just prior, his body language was horrible after that. I think that livershot gave him the excuse he needed to get out of the fight.

You don't take a 9.5 count & risk it if you want to continue.

Ortiz as ballsy -- needed to be saved from himself. Thank you Benji for your acts of kindness.
