You could but I don't think that's what happened. Ortiz could have probably continued and most refs would have let him if he'd actually beaten the count.
I don't even particularly agree with the rule. Common sense says the fight should have gone on. But it's the rules. A 10 count is a 10 count and the ref shouldn't be blamed for following the rules.Comment

Because those are the only written rules used as a reference when it comes to the sport and they are universally recognized. If you know of any others please let us know.
