Him fighting in the US wouldnt change a thing, it would probably be detrimental for his income.

I dont disagree with your second paragraph, but its slipping like you said earlier. Other parts of the world are also getting the people, the money. Examples include Sauerland, K2, And Matchroom... Who arent entangled with the (boring) US Boxing politics.

Ill just offer to agree to disagree on the soccer thing. You dont need US respect to be relevant in boxing anymore, whereas youd probably have to play in Europe to gain respect in soccer. I really fail to see how US respect means so much.
I believe that is Kameda. I think it would be great for him to come to the US. I'm sure he is big in Japan. How much bigger would he be in the world if he came to the US and defeated the recognized other top LW's?

The wins would increase his relevance. Didn't one of the Japaneese fighters just sign with Haymon and appeared on SHo TV. That KO was insane. A lot of the people watching with me were impressed.

That's not US politics as the US doesn't run those organizations (wbc, wba).

Its not about getting US fans respect just for the sake of it. You can disagree, but the US remains, except for the lower weights, where the best competition is. You can not come here, but you wont get the same respect because you haven't defeated the best comp.

    That's my point about MLS.

Pacquiao is interesting as Arum is tapping a market thats outside the US, but can also milk the US PpV for what its worth, at the same time.

I agree the UK doesnt care much about Wlad. The Haye fight definitely left a bad taste, but the UK doesnt reflect what the rest of the continent think though
        Fair enough

But no-one was posting in the sticky thread and more than half (54%) of nsb visitors are outside the U.S.

You are mixing the money Macau is paying to get in the game with respect earned from defeating the best.

Manny is a bad example because he CAME here and now that he is in the twilight of his career-he is going to China once a year. He earned respect here, he is making only money there. His fights there have been killed everywhere else.

How many other fighters will have this opportunity? Will the US, Mexican, PR, and European stars fight there regularly?

Oh darn...Wlad hurt himself and wont be fighting the Bulgarian sheep herder... you have to be dull as hell or have a hobby like watching grass grow/paint dry to find Wlad's fights entertaining....I would rather wipe with a rosebush than watch another Klinchko fight.

Expect to see Wlad fighting Shannon Briggs-lol

Sheep herder? No, Pulev is a yunak.

Anyway, I'm gutted. Wlad is probably scared and trying to delay the inevitable.

LOL-delay what? Another ko over an overmatched and undersized guy like Pulev...who cares. Pulev doesn't have ANY attributes that could score him a win over Wlad...

Wlad injured himself while practicing his patented clinch and d**** during sparring.
