I'm not basing it on my opinion, i'm basing that on his lack of ratings success.

Its always been a global sport-same as soccer. You go to America to prove yourself in Boxing same as you go to europe to prove yourself in Soccer.

I agree boxing is declining in the US, especially at HWT. There are opportunities outside the US, but they are akin, using the analogy above, to MLS. You can make money in MLS, but you wont get the same respect.

You dont need to go to America to prove anything anymore. Just because the US public dont know who you are, isnt that important anymore. Wlad gets enough respect by the people who matter to him. His legacy isnt based on location. The US fanbase might have to follow foreign boxing news in the future, just like the rest of the world used to do with America. I dont think the soccer comparison fits

I doubt it. The money, and most importantly, the people to develop young fighters and harness their talents, are mostly here.

The soccer comparison absolutely does. you have to compete against and beat the best to earn that.You can be a HOF'er and make great money in MLS. The respect as a great, transcendent player will not come from dominating MLS.

Youll find PPV's are a largely American phenomenon, even in the UK they are very few and far between. So ofc the US will have more PPV. As for events, do you have anything to back your claim? Most fights in Europe and elsewhere go unheralded by a US audience so how can you be sure?

If the US fanbase doesnt support you, you arent relevant in the US. Dont confuse the US and the rest of the world. The guy in my pic, is he irrelevant? Hes probably the best fighter at 130, makes tonnes in Japan. If you want to see him as irrelevant, thats on you. Him fighting in the US wouldnt change a thing, it would probably be detrimental for his income.

I dont disagree with your second paragraph, but its slipping like you said earlier. Other parts of the world are also getting the people, the money. Examples include Sauerland, K2, And Matchroom... Who arent entangled with the (boring) US Boxing politics.

Ill just offer to agree to disagree on the soccer thing. You dont need US respect to be relevant in boxing anymore, whereas youd probably have to play in Europe to gain respect in soccer. I really fail to see how US respect means so much.

They all fight in the US. But that means nothing, where does Wlad fight? Froch earnt his biggest payday in the UK. You can be a massive star outside the US nowadays

Pacquiao is interesting as Arum is tapping a market thats outside the US, but can also milk the US PpV for what its worth, at the same time.

I agree the UK doesnt care much about Wlad. The Haye fight definitely left a bad taste, but the UK doesnt reflect what the rest of the continent think though
