Anyway, I'm gutted. Wlad is probably scared and trying to delay the inevitable.

    Right...

Mike Tyson was the single biggest athlete on the planet-I'd argue he was the biggest celebrity on the planet for a few years.

Holyfield was a US Olympian, defeated Tyson, and he and Bowe had an amazing 3 fight series. Some of it was them being from the US, no doubt. But they made and kept fans.

Lennox was far more popular than wlad and he was hated by many US fans. They still always tuned in to watch.
Oh I agree, of course Lennox was more liked. He fought on HBO for ten years straight. I'm just saying that if he was American he would have probably been liked more. Same way Wlad would probably fight on a big network had he been American. Not saying he would be as big as Tyson or Holyfield, just saying it's natural for your countrymen to want to see you.

The fact that he's not American (or British) AND boring to watch is obviously not doing him favours.

The US fanbase might have to follow foreign boxing news in the future, just like the rest of the world used to do with America. I dont think the soccer comparison fits
Let's not act like the US isn't the Mecca of boxing. Of course it is. It's where the big audiences are, and the big bucks.

Currently, there are certain exceptions, like the heavyweight division for example.

Respectfully, people have the right to choose who they like. They don't like wlad, for whatever reasons.
Spoken like a true al haymon lover. Salka had to move up THREE weight classes, while the others where at their respective weight classes.

By Klitschko fans standards then, this is a blatant duck and Wlad is shook.

3 weight classes, try 2. And none of the 3 had any chance. A mismatch is a mismatch. The only people who see it differently are fans of the boxer in Garcia's position.

Its not jingoism or racism, its wladsucksism.
Word. I hate the fact that they actually like the way he fights. Hit, hold, ref break up, repeat. Ridiculous and over seas he barely gets called for any of it. And no for the people sayin dunn is a hater hes not, even though we tend to disagree im not gonna front on that.

3 weight classes actually. He was fighting at 130 lbs. Moved up to 142 lbs, which is welterweight.

Hit, hold, ref break up, repeat. Did you miss his povetkin fight? Thats all he does in all his fights since being ko'd by brewster. Once he gets tired, its a wrap.

He was at LW, which is 135 to 142, is 2 weight classes at best.

Either way, neither opponent had much of a chance.
