Everybody on this forum has a point, since all the street violence has restricted night life, drunks with cars and guns, there isn't a lot to do on Saturday nights. Lots of casual fans....and Puerto Ricans. That is a big boxing market, needed to get over rough times like these. Lousy fight, great audience. Boxing will survive.

stop it dude. they were both mismatches. you know it. stop hiding behind caparello's WBO/IBA ranking to give it a pass.
if mismatches hurt the sport-fine I agree. If only showtime mismatches hurt the sport-than we both know what the deal is.Comment

I knew a guy who had one back in like 2007. Neilson came to his place and asked him if he would do it. They even pay you (not much, it's like $150 every few months or something). It was just some tiny little box that recorded the data of everything he watched and when he watched it.Comment

This is why we get crappy fights, because Showtime and Hbo knows boxing fans will accept anything on normal TV.
PPV is a different story.Comment

What model are you talking about exactly? Danny KO'd a guy 3 divisions below the where the fight took place, as was ranked 77th. GGG KO'd his guy in the 2nd round as well (maybe 3rd?) but he was not only in his own division, but was also ranked at #2 according to ******. These guys are nothing alike, one is a farce and ther other is a legit talent.Comment
