  • For allegedly following a path of least resistance Floyd sure fought a lot of fighters who were coming off a big win. I think Judah was the only exception. Nearly everyone else was either on a hot streak or had just had a big win of their own....

    I figured as much. There's no #1 or 2 in the IBF so by default that makes Lubin the mando to the IBF belt, no way is he going to go into a high risk low reward fight against Tszyu....

  • My theory is David thought moving up in weight is simply not having to cut as much and keep some extra gas in the tank when actually when moving up in weight, especially at the higher weights, you need to basically reconfigure your body into being bigger and stronger....

  • Weird. Top Rank has a pretty shallow stable at 168. TR co-promotes Christian Mbilli but Mbilli already has a fight lined up with Derevyanchenko in mid August and wouldn't be ready until winter 24 at the earliest and I think PBC and Matchroom have the other 168'ers on their side....

  • I think Flores's biggest current problem isn't his willingness to mix it up despite being feather fisted, it's his physique or lack thereof. Previously it looked like all he was trying to do was make weight and forgo being in shape, I distinctly remember calling him out for what looked to be baby fat...
