Facts are facts yes?, and a clear medical bill doesn't compare to be fit, does it?.

I kept on playing after my injury as well, I still run regularly. I'm not saying that nobody can fully recover from a serious injury. A clear medical bill though only means that Martinez did not injury his knee again, it gives us no further info regarding his phisical state.

You are the one who claims to state facts, while you are only stating your opinion. Every injury is different , you said so yourself, only it is rather rare for a 39 years old to recover from 2 knee surgeries and be competitive at top level. Can't think of any athlete doing so actually, but there might be.

Only Martinez and possibly his team know exactly how fit he is, all the rest is technically speculation (what forums are made for).

I saw what I saw, you obviously have a different opinion, no facts.

I think the best chance we've got to see who is right is wait. If Martinez will fight again and only look half decent i'll own up and admit you are right, without any problem.

You know what all you who believe Martinez legs were shot, next time you watch the fight don't watch the first 2 rounds, just start the fight from the third round and then we can talk again.

As for you, Martinez has already said his knees werent an issue. this is what i keep saying, over and over. The fighter who has NEVER shied away from saying he was injured, is saying he wasnt injured. He said he didnt recover from the first left hook which landed on his temple. Doctors and his entire corner have corroborated Martinez' assessment. No controversy here, cant be biased because I didnt say it, well unless all you guys are saying Martinez is biased and a huge Cotto fan.

                Sergio Martinez Update

According to Team Maravilla’s Nathan Lewkowicz, former WBC middleweight world champion Sergio Martinez had no hand or knee issues in Saturday night’s fight against Miguel Cotto. “He felt dizzy after the shot to the head in round one and didn’t recover. The only injury was a broken nose.

As for what comes next, on Sunday Martinez tweeted: “And now comes a period where I will rest and will reflect with my own about what lies ahead. Thank you and now more than ever HLVS [until victory, always]!”

Martinez and Lou Dibella stated that his legs are in perfect conditions and was not a factor to his loss. The man did not make up a pathetic excuse and took the loss like a man.

I think you are wasting your time with them. These same guys were saying before the fight that Martinez would T/KO Cotto. And now the excuses are pouring like rainy weather. I'd just pay them no attention, they aren't credible.
