That's because they're poor analogies. Boxing is different from those sports. They have points systems to determine official rankings. Boxing doesn't have that unless you count boxrec which most people consider a complete joke. What rankings are we talking about here? Our own personal opinions, no? And if you rank Froch ahead of Ward at Super Middleweight, you're lying to yourself and embarrassing yourself.

I agree, but thats not i am saying. Rankings can be floored in that system but the fifa system has friendlies and you can get false rankings from that. England were ahead Italy after the Euros, despite Italy beating them and geting to the final. That s aflaw in the system.

Ward beat froch by 2 rounds in his home country, comprehensive but hardly a schooling.

Since beating froch he has beaten two non super middle weights. Dawson was at 168???????????wtf and His last fight the guy didnt even make the weight so it was none title. And currently he has even got a sanctioned fight???

Froch beat Bute who was RANKED above ward, then kessler, then Mack, then groves. Already that puts him ahead. If he wins against groves that surely puts him ranked ahead of ward.

At what point does your opinion stop???How long can ward be inactive until you accept froch is number 1 WBC, or are you going to live off the head to head that froch only lost by 2 rounds by???

This is what irks me...

They call it the biggest fight in post-war Britain but who the fuck has Groves fought? Compared to the Eubank-Benn-Watson era, the quality is definitely lacking.

I like Groves, I think he'll have a good career but I've never thought he'd be anything special. He's shown vulnerabilities against limited opposition. His best win is who? Glen Johnson? DeGale? How good is he though?

I didn't expect Groves to look that good against Froch in their first fight, we'll have to see how he handles him in the rematch. But no, Froch doesn't deserve to be ranked any higher if he beats Groves.

groves' only claim to fame is giving foch such a hard time in the first fight, he hasnt proved himself against anyone else. unless you count degale but he hasnt really proved himself as a pro either and i thought he beat groves.
