Damn, looks like there's a lot of lawyers and businessmen here, also, seems like a lot of people have a financial interest in GBP, they way yall seem to be jumping on Schaefers ****...Fact is this, I'm a boxing fan, I could give a **** who runs what promotional company, I just want the biggest and baddest fights to get made. If some dumb Swiss or German or whatever is holding it from happening, fire him, **** him, he ain't ****.

If Don King and Arum, who had a feud that lasted 3 decades and were two of the biggest names in the history of the sport could put aside differences and make the fights that needed to happen, who the **** is Schaefer to refuse? If he is stopping me from seeing the fights I want ,**** him to hell.

SHEEEEEET, THIS PLACE NEEDS MORE BOXING FANS AND LESS ACCOUNTANTS

The most powerful people in boxing as of now according to this article - http://sports.yahoo.com/news/boxing-...084248158.html

      1. Haymon
      2. Mayweather
      3. Espinoza
      4. Schaefer

No wonder Schaefer doesn't give any flying cahoots about what De La Hoya says or does

Ultimately, it's time for everyone to make the **** up and co-exist. Boxing cannot sustain a civil war like this in the long term. Who, really, is doing well out of the Cold War?

GBP: full of rumours about a split and a lack of profits, and now the CEO is almost challenging the President to fire him.

SHO: Overpaying wildly for fights like Adonis-Fonfar, while cards like the Hopkins-Bubet one do mediocre numbers.

HBO: Let a fight like Adonis-Kovalev slip through the net and can barely produce a great non-PPV anymore.

TR: Dwindling stable, and it's one bona fide star is in the final run of his career.

Arum is a scumbag, and HE started the Cold War (which people tend to forget). But Schaefer needs to bite the bullet and try to forge some sort of relationship with TR.

Boxing is a niche sport. We absolutely cannot sustain a Cold War a long-period.

These petty mother****ers are going to ruin things irreparably if they are not careful. Then GBP can have their monopoly on a sport that is on its last legs.

The drama in boxing never stops!!!!

If I were ODLH, I would think long and hard about favoring Arum over Shaeffer.

While I realize that Shaeffer can be and has been a prick on occasion, he is still a monster when it comes to promoting and generating a brand. ODLH has benefited greatly from having Shaeffer as his CEO, and if he's not careful he may just have opened the doors to a royal butt-fuckin

Schaeffer is the man. An excellent banker and great strategist. If Schaeffer is fired BG will go down. Dela Hoya should consider himself lucky to have such rare talent as Schaeffer.

He's the majority share holder, he does have the power.

You don't fire a guy who has successfully helped your company reached the elite status in the sport as far as successful promotions goes just for the sake of burying the hatchet with a rival promotions. There is no guarantee that the new business relationship would last.
There's obviously a lot more to this than just the cold war. I doubt wanting to work with Arum even has much to do with the internal strife. Like most things in the world, it's probably about money.

Frankly I don't think Schafer cares, he's has enough power and a big enough name to make his own company at this point. And there are plenty of fighters who would follow him. Ppl think this would end a cold war, delusional. Oscar is just an idiot looking for attention and damaging his company.
                    Well said.

If Oscar were smart, he'd go back the rehab and STFU. I'm sure none of the fighters who are promoted by Golden Boy want a crackhead running the day to day activities...

ODLH don't need this kinda shit right now as he just got out of rehab. This is the kind of drama that can really test your resolve and test whether you've recovered.
