Just a theory: Schaefer is most likely the smartest man in boxing. If I was Schaefer, I would be loving life. You have top rank with a weak in house stable. You are doing business with Al Haymon. Buying every hired gun that's for hire. You have your hands on so much talent it's crazy. HBO kicked you off their network. Now HBO is in trouble they're putting on shat cards and ppv's. They will ultimately need you. Top Rank is banned from the MGM. Now if you can build up all this young talent. You have all the dates you want at the MGM on showtime. It's only one fighter from top rank you and that's Manny fckin Pacquaio. Manny fckin Pacquaio, just so happen to be only thing keeping your rival semi relevant. At one point in time, you were in serious negotiations with Pacquaio to fight Money Mayweather. So now you know more than anyone else out side of his management. His finances, his bottom dollar for the fight and how bad does he want the fight. If he needs the money from the fight eventually he'll come crawling. From his point of view he might feel fck HBO, Arum and Oscar. If my theory is correct. Schaefer is about to commit a hostile takeover of boxing. I'm not saying it's right for fans or boxing but if he sees it the way I think it is. It's at least smart. As it stands he doesn't need HBO Oscar or Arum as much as they need him. He will be calling the shots at golden boy or elsewhere for time to come.

Damn, looks like there's a lot of lawyers and businessmen here, also, seems like a lot of people have a financial interest in GBP, they way yall seem to be jumping on Schaefers ****...Fact is this, I'm a boxing fan, I could give a **** who runs what promotional company, I just want the biggest and baddest fights to get made. If some dumb Swiss or German or whatever is holding it from happening, fire him, **** him, he ain't ****.

If Don King and Arum, who had a feud that lasted 3 decades and were two of the biggest names in the history of the sport could put aside differences and make the fights that needed to happen, who the **** is Schaefer to refuse? If he is stopping me from seeing the fights I want ,**** him to hell.

It's unreal. Boxing fans should be rallying behind Oscar's apparent willingness to end the Cold War and see the clear reality:

It is Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon who love the Cold War and are profiting the most from it.

Schaefer clearly is trying to get fired, calling Oscar's bluff and going all in. Either Oscar caves and keeps him or he fires him and we have a Schaefer-Haymon promotional company started the next day.

And the fallout? Every single one of the GBP fighters signed with Haymon will file suit and try to jump ship. The New Cold War.

That's the thing, they don't. Showtime ppvs will outsell HBO ppvs for a second year in a row. So u are wrong in the sense that to these guys the bottom line is the bottom line.

In this boxing Cold War Richard Schaefer has been a great general. He successfully navigated GBP into being the premier promotional company in the sport and they regularly put on the best cards in boxing.

If Oscar wants to mend fences and squash disagreements then he should do so with Richard first. Get on the same page with him because he is your greatest asset.

Maybe there will be room to work with Arum after that but don't do it at the expense of losing Schaefer. It would be business suicide for De La Hoya to choose Bob over the Swiss banker.

Oscar has elected Richard as the CEO. Richard runs the company but does not own the company, Oscar does not run the company but owns the company.

If Oscar wants to change things he has to first actually fire Schaeffer, which he can do.

I think Richard schaefer wants to get fired so he could run to mayweather promotions and maybe run that company being that mayweather has a couple of fights left we all know that went mayweather retires he would love to be in oscar position...I think Richard feels a little betrayed by oscar because oscar is trying make peace between top rank and golden boy promotion....I think that mayweather is gonna try to make mayweather promotions as big as golden boy or even bigger and I see mayweather looking at the job schaefer has done and I think that he could use him for mayweather promotions ...mayweather looking at the work schaefer has done for golden boy...i heard that mayweather and schaefer are good friends so who knows
