He has Chavez but obviously he was well passed it the first time and the second one needs no discussion.

    Hagler's resume is much better.
Which ones? I don't see it. He looked like a poor man's Chavez in some fights.

I'm not counting loss. Whitaker/Chavez based off names yea, better than Hearns.

You still don't really give an explanation why. Overall Oscar's resume looks better than Hagler's. 2 or 3 quality wins doesn't beat a resume with several quality as well as tons of good ones.

    Help me understand it better.

He lost to some greats but also beat some. If you want to go the robbery/prime route, we can play that game too.

Tell me something I may of missed then. What fights does he show amazing technique? Please enlighten me.

I'm not ****ting on DLH. At all.

    But c'mon man.

He was fighting Duran at 154 a fight or two before that. You're also talking about a decade or more worth of time for the body to develop. He didn't just jump right away.

Hagler is one of the best middleweights ever, Oscar had a very good career across several classes but one is much more impressive than the other. Also Oscar fell short in a lot of his biggest moments while Hagler mostly came through, now you can say Oscar had some unfortunate things happen he also had some things go pretty favorably for him while Hagler mostly just had unfortunate things happen.
I never said Hagler wasn't one of the best middleweights. Oscar also came up big in some of his big fights. People only seem to count his loss amount it seems.
What big fights you talking about Hagler? Oscar lost to ONLY HOF/ATG quality type of guys, something Hagler doesn't have.

Oscar didn't have that many favorable things for him so that's a big lie right there.

Hagler's resume is much better. Oscar lost nearly all the big fights he was in. Oscar still a Hall of Fame fighter though 100%.

He does based on the fights I've seen from both. Watched a couple more from Hagler too.

Obviously much better? How? Duran isn't even a MW and he was taking it to him. Hearns wasn't either. Sure those are two greats but Oscar has his share of greats on his resume too.
How does oscar have better technique? he fights like a glorified amateur.

Hagler follows through on his punches, keeps the shoulders relaxed and knowns when to shorten his shots up. Excellent timing, iron chin, 15 round stamina and a great ring general.

Duran was dangerous in any weight class and one of the best boxers ever. Duran that smashed Moore or Cuevas would have walked Canelo in a bad way.

Hagler basically ruined Hearns. Hearns dwarfed him so don't talk about size, dude broke his hand on Haglers head and opened a massive cut.

Not to mention Hagler fought tough guys from the past era too, like Benny Briscoe.

DLH lost all of his big fights, his best win is vargas and maybe you could argue he squeaked Tito but the resume says otherwise.

Imagine the crap De la hoya would've caught if he hung out at 135 and just beat up on guys coming up.

Their resumes are pretty close but Oscar never established dominance at a weight like Hagler did so people will favor that more

why are you worried about technique? Oscar might have the more text book style but Hagler used his own style to do greater things if history judged you on technique Rigondeux is already the GOAT, its not technique its what you do with it

I didn't say Oscar always came up small just most of the time, and losses are important especially when you are talking the best of the best. Now some of his loses you can mitigate but if you go down that road you also have to look at where he was also fortunate but with Oscar it mostly balances out in that regard he caught some breaks and got screwed some.

Whitiker, Sturm, Quartey were all fights where he got the benefit of the doubt at least. Fights were he certainly could have been more fortunante Mosley II, and Trinidad.

Now as for Hagler last I checked Willie "the Worm" Monrone was pretty darn good and fought the fight of his life when he beat Hagler, Bobby Watts was damn good also and was very fortunate to get that decision against Hagler, and then Ray Leonard in a highly disputed fight you can get people heated about to this day. Oh he stopped both Monroe and Watts in rematches also~

That's a funny joke. I'm going to guess or hope that's a joke.

Hagler has plenty of solid and quality wins, not 1 or 2 at all. He has 9 or 10 against Top 5 ranked guys and more against other Top 10 contenders.

De La Hoya's best win is Fernando Vargas, followed by Quartey then I'm not even really sure who's third.

Oscar's quality's not better nor is his quality.

LOL One eyed Ray Leonard literally came out of a 3 year retirement and beat big bad Hagler. Haglers very overrated.
