What makes Hagler greater than De La Hoya??

I see a lot of people talking ATG this and ATG that but yet turn around and criticize someone like Oscar for not being great.

Ok, what makes him so much greater than Oscar? Judging from watching a lot of their fights, Oscar had better technique along with having a lot of better opponents(my 2c). So why can't Oscar be in the same boat of ATGs?

He does based on the fights I've seen from both. Watched a couple more from Hagler too.

Obviously much better? How? Duran isn't even a MW and he was taking it to him. Hearns wasn't either. Sure those are two greats but Oscar has his share of greats on his resume too.

What great's does Oscar have on his resume that equal Hearns? Unless you're counting loss's?

He has Chavez but obviously he was well passed it the first time and the second one needs no discussion.

Yeah but which greats did Oscar actually beat? Lost to Hopkins, lost to Mosley, lost to Trinidad, lost to Manny and Floyd.

How was Hearns not a "legit" MW when him and Hagler fought?

The guy won titles north of the weight class, and stopped guys at Crusier.

If you can't see it in their fights then there is not much point in trying to explain it really.

Hagler is one of the best middleweights ever, Oscar had a very good career across several classes but one is much more impressive than the other. Also Oscar fell short in a lot of his biggest moments while Hagler mostly came through, now you can say Oscar had some unfortunate things happen he also had some things go pretty favorably for him while Hagler mostly just had unfortunate things happen.
