And I'm not even counting Oscar De La Hoya which was an even fight that could have been scored either way.

                and that proves my point.

chavez and nelson are great wins. just like Hopkins and Toney are. greg haugen and roger mayweather are no better than reggie johnson or montell griffin. buddy mcgirt is no better than virgil hill. vasquez is not better than moving to heavyweight and beating ruiz or tarver.

see this is the double standard I'm talking about. Jorge Paez is a quality win for Pernell Whitaker. But Eric Lucas is nothing. Mike McCallum is nothing.

H2H you can easily make a case for Roy, but in terms of Resume- dont get fooled by Jones' multiple weightclasses,, his resume and opponents are very thin compared to top 20 ATGs,, He really only has the hopkins win in 93, toney in 94, and ruiz in 03.. And the hopkins fight wasnt seen as a great win till a decade later, at the time, it was viewed as roy beating a FNF caliber fighter for a vacant belt, that fight didnt even headline its own card..

your poll asks a completely different question from your thread title.

                      was this done with intent?
