He has to change himself, promoters won't waste money on someone they can't make money off of. It's that simple. I've said it countless times and it's a simple concept for anyone who's taken business 101 or understands how making money works. No one invests in an investment that's guaranteed to fail.

Moral of story life isn't fair. If he was Mexican he'd sell quite well...he's not because the world isn't all lollipops and roses.
LOL... Who told you that? The only Americans that hate Cuba are the ones that had their plantations taken from them when Fidel Castro and company jacked them for all of their ish. The rest of us could care care less. The America government got their asses kicked messing with those Cubans. And Rigo doesn't have to change his style to increase his vulnerability. He is who he is.

Actually, casual fans are gonna pay to watch who the promoters tell them to watch. Much like music fans are gonna listen to who the record companies tell them to listen to. I don't know about you. But I'm the only hardcore fight fa in my inncer circle. And preety much everyone asks me who's who. But instead of being an uneducated dumbass and telling them, "this Rigondeaux cat is boring as ****, don't bother watching." I simply explain to them that he's a craftsman and you're watching one of the best in the world. But there's so many relatively new hardcore fans that only became hardcore because of the Floyd-Manny beef. That they're too ****** to understand or appreciate a guy like Rigo or Ward. That's what's fairly simply.

And you're the kinda fake tough guy, living out his tough guy fantasies through these fighters from the comfort of your couch that's killing the sport of boxing.

IMO a real fight fan can appreciate both. My favorite fight ever was Corrales-Castillo I. Not because it was violent. But because it was violent and fought at extremely high skill level. Much better than that Kirkland-Tapia garbage or the Gatti-Ward trilogy.

Why are u mad at me because rigo isn't popular?

It's like you're telling people that they must like a certain type of food that they know they don't like. Or telling someone that if they don't like all types of hip hop music then they're not real fans of hip hop. It is what it is. Rigo is a great boxer but he isn't entertaining to the masses.

              youre a boxing purist.

i watch rigos fights for the sole tactility of it, not for excitement.

              do i enjoy it? no.

              do i appreciate it? yes.

Actually quite of the more influential people dislike cuba still. It's not a secret.

I find it funny that Arencibia wouls say that Agbeko has no name and the entire purpose of this fight was to showcase Rigo with a bigger name fighter. Agbeko was top 3 bantamweights in the world just last year. He moved up in weight to take this fight, so what exaclty is Arencibia talking about? If Rigo was a more fan friendly fighter, he could fight in the kitchen at IHOp and still sell out. But since he's not that type of fighter, no one wants to see him outside of the hardcore boxing fan.

If Rigondeaux he's going to have to open up and take risks. I'm sorry but boxing is a sport where winning isn't good enough.

Rigondeaux isn't the 1st pure counter puncher who had to change his game in order to get a bigger following.

Sergio Martinez had to open up in order to get fights on US TV. just cruising to UDs wasn't good enough. Vernon Forrest ducked him for years because he was a slick counter puncher.

Juan Manuel Marquez was totally over shadowed and over looked when he was just a pure counter puncher. Naseem Hamed duck him for years because better fights were out there. Marquez had to open up to get the big fights.

                      I don't think it's fair but that's the game.

if Rigondeaux refuses to change then he needs to fight more often and should only fight Puerto Ricans and Mexicans. talk mad smack about mexicans and ricans after the fight.

if he does that they will hate him and they'll watch to see him lose and hate him more when he doesn't

                      that's Mayweather self promotion 101
