Rigo is the one trying to make a name for himself and remove the "boring" stigma associated with his name. He had the perfect opportunity to do so last sat and didn't jump on the opportunity. Excellent boxer. Bad showman.
What was entertaining about watching Pac laying on the canvas twitching because he "opened up?" What's entertaining about that heavyweight laying in a ****in' coma because he "took chances?" What was entertaining about watching Lavander Johnson (think that's his last name) die in the ring? What was entertaining about watching Fernando Montiel beat the Alcazar kid to death on the DLH-Vargas undercard? I'm just curious to know.

      Rigo will leave

Rigo has only one fight left with toprank then he will leave and fight in miami or better people at 122. Arum is too busy promoting pacquio i guess he needs more tax money. Then Donnaire until that boat sinks. Lets face it HBO bet on the wrong promotional team

Atlantic City is a boxing town

Much like Las Vegas; Atlantic City is a good step for prize fighters to make the good bucks. Rigo got the big bucks and failed to entertain the masses. Go fight and sell out high school gyms in Miami till Top Rank contract is over.

Rigo should of signed with Golden Boy and toured Latin America.

Always wondered why Rigo never signed with them in the first place.
Wouldn't be the first questionable managorial decision he's made...

Lack of promotion... Why can't tr get him. Aggressive. Come forward fighters like arce vasquez or unify with johnny gonzalez.. I'm Mexican I appreciate rigos talent.. takes 2 to tango... People like Dan rafael praise Floyd for being dominate with slick boxing even if Floyd dnt go for the kill but **** on rigo... That 12 round with donaire rigo was pushing for the ko.. it was funny how donaire covered up he's swollen eye.. HBO is angry at rigo for killing his Jr pacquiao.. they back boring fighters like bhop Devon chad Dawson and Andre ward Uu dnt get me started on Andre ward I never want to see him again..and rigo has a personality he's a smack talker.. before the donaire fight he said he could beat arce and nishioka in the same night.. and that nishi covered up hes right eye all night and he could barely see as it was... It's just that the translaters suck...

It's a dangerous sport/profession that comes with risks. If u don't want to get hurt then do something else. Pac got ko'd and what did he say? ......"that's part of boxing"

Like I said, what's entertaining about the bull**** that fight fans claim to want? Paul Williams used to open up too. Were you entertained by seeing him laying on the canvas looking like he'd be shot in the head by a 45?

TR operates as a monopoly-minded boxing company in which Bob Arum's word isn't only gold... IT'S LAW. For whatever reason, Rigondeaux and his team were being setup for a while in regards to this fight!

                1) Promotion of this fight only took place in about a week or two before the fight actually happened. I remember it being a while before the actual tickets were put on sale.

                2) Anybody with common sense should've figured that Rigo and Agbeko weren't the main attractions to this fight, it was the "hometown hero" of the fight (Glen Tapia). How the hell do you think people in Jersey even found out about this fight!? Because one of their own was fighting on the cards... The average person CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE the names of "Rigondeaux" and "Agbeko!" . lol.. You also got to place in the matchmaking ability of the promoters in pairing Tapia up with another brawler in James Kirkland. Two brawlers with power is always going to be what boxing fans describe as a "war", and the experienced brawler is usually the victor. Now if people see their hometown hero get wrecked, do you think that they're going to stick around to see two boxers that they don't know fight? Probably not... It was being said that people were walking out in the first and second rounds. I would've AT LEAST stuck around for the forth or fifth rounds to see if any action would've popped off!

                3) They were being played on the same night with another card on a competing network that already had established names like Paulie Malignaggi, Zab Judah, Devon Alexander (based off of his hometown support in St. Louis), and Austin Trout (that got a lil' bit of fame by beating Miguel Cotto and by fighting Canelo). That's hard competition to go up against, and it was competition that Rigo and Agbeko wasn't going to overshadow.

Most of this ain't got ***** to do with "Rigo's fighting style..." The only thing about Rigondeaux "throwing more punches" is that it offers a small window of vulnerability against Rigondeaux whose boxing defense rivals that of Floyd Mayweather Jr! The same promotional company and prime time network throwing Rigondeaux under the bus are the same networks and promotional companies that tried to promote Terrance Crawford (who has good skill, but isn't near the skill level of Rigo). Bob Arum is the same promoter that tried to tell boxing fans that Donaire and Nishioka was an "exciting fight..." SMH. I'm still trying to figure out why Rigondeaux wasn't put on the undercards of Cotto and Rodriguez (and Crawford was). Rigondeuax would've drawn in more of the Cuban fanbase more than Terrance Crawford drawing in an American fanbase!

FUCK the political differences between the United States and Cuba... Boxing is a sport whose revenue is primarily supported by superficial nationalism, and if the regular person in Cuba had access (and PERMISSION) to watch Rigondeaux's fights live, trust me... ALL OF CUBA WOULD BE WATCHING. Bob Arum and HBO would be kissing Rigondeaux's black a$$ with his boring style if all of Cuba was watching and supporting one of their best!

The problem with #1 is the fact that the stadium was much more packed when Kirkland was fighting. If promotion was the problem don't u think that fight would have been as empty as the rigo fight? Most who stood to see rigo ended up walking out mid fight.

Casual fans want to see excitement and action. You don't pay to watch an action movie where theres a single gunshot and the rest is monologue. It's how business works...and boxing is a business. It's fairly simple...

There's very conservative fighters and very aggressive fighters. They know the consequences and people relate

Actually yes! Wasn't that the KO of the Year? U don't want to get hurt or ko'd then don't box. It's that simple.
