That's what I'm talking about. People think we expect him to sell 1 million PPV's and get 2 millions viewers. That's not the truth at all.

For all I care sign with Iron Mike Promotions and make title defenses in Miami so I can watch. This **** isn't a popularity contest.

Honestly, I don't have a beef with casual fans who don't like Rigo. Because truth is, casual fans would know Rigo or GGG if they wore nametags. My beef is so called hardcore fans that can't appreciate anything but tough man contests that you can go to any local br and see.

Rigo is boring. He needs people to come at him to look good. The problem is, he doesn't go forward.

But what ya'll don't seem to understand is that asking Rigo to "throw more" is basically the equivilant to asking Pacquiao to tie his left arm behind his back. Why should this guy have to sacrafice his best weapons to appeal to so called educated fight fans? Rigo is never gonna be a PPV attraction. But I don't understand how supposed real boxing fans can appreciate this guy enough to keep him on TV.

Exactly. If Rigo stays in the pocket a second too long and gets hit with a vicious counter he will never get a title fight again. He will be ducked and his career will be over.

He is more valuable undefeated, untouched and holding as many titles as possible. He can't take the risks that more popular fighters can take because they can bounce back right after a loss into another title shot.

It's like you're telling people that they must like a certain type of food that they know they don't like. Or telling someone that if they don't like all types of hip hop music then they're not real fans of hip hop. It is what it is. Rigo is a great boxer but he isn't entertaining to the masses.
I'm not mad at you personally. I'm just annoyed that I'm on a boxing forum interacting with so called hardcore fight fans. And there aren't enough hardcore fans that appreciate this guy enough to keep him on TV. And its a pretty big blow to me as a fight fan that I may have to scramble the net for ****ty streams to watch what is probably the best fighter in the world.

                  there you have it folks
Show me where I said I didn't like the Gatti-Ward trilogy. I simply said it wasn't fought at a very high skill level. And I'm educated enough as a fan to know that what I'm waching isn't quality fighting. During Sat's telecast, Lamply said he ran into Vernon Forrest after the first Gatti-Ward fight and Forrest said he didn't understand how people could be entertained by low quality fighting like that. A real fight fan can appreciate it all.

He doesn't even have to get KO'd. If he doesn't win 10rds clearly, he's gonna get robbed. And we'll never see him again. At least now, any guy wanting to be legit at or around the featherweight division, they're gonna have to see Rigo. Because regardless of what all these Rigo haters are on here saying. There's not many "casual" fans that can name a single current top featherweight. So all of these guys are only known in the boxing community. And because of that, there's no way they can avoid Rigo. So these guys better get used to him. Because he's leaving Arum. And he's gonna carve DLH's entire featherweight roster up. Like him or not.

that's just the way it is...at the end of the day it's a business and they are out to make money, like I've said before,if rigo likes to fight like that fine,he just can't expect the big purses and the dates on hbo..it's not the same as what you are talking about pacquiao, rigo had an opponent who wasn't even trying to win,he wasn't even throwing punches yet rigo did nothing to capitalize on that, that was his perfect chance to do something and he decided he didn't want to,in otherwords no excitement,no ratings mean no business,i think rigo could have easily stopped agbeko or had him wobbled but for some reason I think he was just frightened to do so
